Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in SAP ABAP development, production support, enhancements, integrations, and interface development. The role requires hands-on experience in day-to-day support activities, troubleshooting, debugging, performance optimization, and API-based integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform SAP ABAP development, customization, and support activities.

· Develop and maintain Reports, ALV Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows.

· Work on User Exits, Customer Exits, BADIs, Enhancements Framework, and SAP standard customizations.

· Develop and support BAPI, RFC, IDoc, and integration-related solutions.

· Design, develop, and troubleshoot OData services, REST/SOAP APIs, and Web Services.

· Analyze business requirements and provide technical solutions.

· Perform debugging, root-cause analysis, and performance tuning of ABAP programs.

· Support SAP incidents, service requests, and change requests.

· Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders.

· Prepare technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials.

Required Technical Skills:

· Strong experience in SAP ABAP development and support.

· ABAP Reports, Classical Reports, Interactive Reports, and ALV.

· Enhancements, User Exits, Customer Exits, BADIs, and Enhancement Framework.

· BAPI, RFC, IDoc, ALE/EDI developments.

· Smart Forms and/or Adobe Forms.

· Debugging and Performance Tuning.

· Data Dictionary objects, Module Pool Programming, and Dialog Programming.

· API and Integration development using OData, REST APIs, SOAP Services, and Web Services.

· Experience with SAP interface mechanisms and third-party integrations.

· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

· Experience working in support and enhancement projects.

· Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

· Ability to work independently in an onsite client environment.
