Job Title: SAP ABAP Consultant

Experience: 6–8 Years

Location: Mumbai (Powai)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant with strong expertise in ABAP development, technical analysis, debugging, and SAP application support. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of SAP business processes and experience working closely with functional teams to deliver effective technical solutions. Familiarity with SAP Ariba and MM processes will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and maintain custom ABAP solutions, including reports, interfaces, data conversions, and other SAP developments.

Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technical specifications and solutions.

Collaborate closely with functional consultants, business analysts, and other stakeholders.

Perform unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of ABAP developments.

Optimize existing ABAP code to improve application performance and efficiency.

Develop and support interfaces for integration between SAP and external systems.

Work with APIs and support integration-related developments.

Provide technical support and resolve complex SAP application issues.

Prepare and maintain technical documentation for developments and system enhancements.

Participate in Agile development processes where applicable.

Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers, where required.

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.

Strong understanding of ABAP programming concepts, syntax, coding standards, and best practices.

Experience in developing custom reports, interfaces, and data conversion programs.

Good knowledge of SAP modules such as FI/CO, SD, MM, and PP.

Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.

Experience in unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and issue resolution.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Good to Have

Familiarity or working knowledge of SAP Ariba.

Understanding of SAP MM business processes.

Experience in SAP and external system integrations.

Experience working with APIs.

Knowledge of performance tuning and code optimization.

Exposure to cloud-based SAP technologies.

Experience working in Agile development environments.
