SAP ABAP BW Developer (Embedded Analytical)

Job Summary

We are seeking aSenior Consultant SAP BW/ABAP & Embedded Analytics (EA)with strong expertise inABAP on HANA, SAP BW/BW4HANA, and S/4HANA Embedded Analytics. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing and developingCDS Views, BW data models, and analytical content, and will play a key role in delivering high-performance reporting and analytics solutions in SAP S/4HANA landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhanceABAP developmentsin SAP BW and S/4HANA environments.
• Develop and optimizeABAP routines(Start, End, and Field routines) in BW transformations.
• Build and maintainBW/BW4HANA data modelsincludingADSOs, InfoObjects, Composite Providers, and Transformations.
• Design and implementS/4HANA Embedded AnalyticsusingCDS Views (Basic, Composite, Consumption).
• Enable analytical reporting usingCDS annotationsfor analytical queries and KPIs.
• Develop and optimizeCDS Views, AMDPs, and ABAP on HANAobjects for high-performance analytics.
• Work ondata extraction frameworksincludingODP, BW extractors, and S/4HANA data sources.
• Collaborate with functional and business teams to translate reporting and analytics requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Performperformance tuning and optimizationfor BW models, CDS Views, and HANA-based developments.
• Provide production support, root cause analysis, and continuous improvements for analytics solutions.
• Prepare technical design documents and support knowledge transfer activities.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ yearsof hands-on experience inSAP ABAP development.
• Strong experience inSAP BW / BW4HANAdata modeling and transformations.
• Proven expertise inS/4HANA Embedded Analytics (EA).
• Strong knowledge ofCDS Views, CDS Annotations, AMDP, and ABAP on HANA.
• Experience withODP-based extraction, BW extractors, and S/4HANA data models.
• Good understanding ofS/4HANA architecture, virtual data models (VDM), and analytical queries.
• Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder-handling skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience withSAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)integration.
• Exposure toFiori/UI5 analytical appsbased on CDS Views.
• Knowledge ofOData services, APIs, or Data Warehousing Bridge (DWB).
• Experience inend-to-end analytics scenarios(S/4 Embedded Analytics + BW + SAC).
