We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Intern to support the pickup and drop of samples in the Mumbai region. As a Logistics Intern, you will assist in ensuring timely and efficient transportation of samples between various locations. This internship provides hands-on experience in sample logistics operations and is ideal for someone looking to gain exposure in healthcare or laboratory logistics.
Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating the pickup and drop of samples from designated locations across Mumbai.
- Support scheduling of sample pickups and deliveries based on operational requirements.
- Communicate with sample collection points and delivery locations to ensure smooth logistics.
- Track and monitor sample shipments, reporting any delays or issues to the logistics team.
- Maintain accurate records of sample pickup and drop activities, including documentation of sample details, pickup/delivery times, and any incidents.
- Follow safety and regulatory guidelines for sample transportation.
- Help optimise transportation routes and schedules to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including laboratory staff and administrative personnel, to streamline logistics processes.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, or related field.
- Basic understanding of logistics coordination and interest in healthcare/laboratory operations.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with collection points and vendors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving mindset with willingness to handle operational challenges.
- Familiarity with Mumbai geography and traffic patterns is a plus.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends if required.
- Proficiency in English and Hindi; knowledge of Marathi is a plus.
