Overview
We're looking for a friendly, detail-focused Phlebotomist & Sample Collection Coordinator. In this internship you'll collect patient samples with care and manage their safe, timely handover to partner labs. You'll combine patient interaction with basic logistics tracking to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
What You'll Do
- Collect biological samples from patients following standard infection-control procedures and ensuring patient comfort.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups across locations and manage handoffs with couriers and lab partners.
- Pack, label, store, and transport specimens safely per guidelines.
- Track sample movements and update digital logs in real time; resolve any transit issues or delays.
- Process and prepare specimens for testing (aliquoting, centrifugation, short-term storage) as needed.
- Maintain clear records and communicate effectively with patients, lab staff, and logistics teams.
What We're Looking For
- Basic understanding of infection control and biomedical waste handling.
- Comfortable using smartphones/apps and spreadsheets for scheduling and tracking.
- Good interpersonal skills and a professional, patient-centered approach.
- Ability to travel locally for home sample collection when required.
- Willingness to follow safety and lab protocols closely.
Practical details
This is an internship based in Navi Mumbai. Flexible schedules may be required to meet collection and delivery timelines.
