Detailed Role Description Summary

• Own hands-on ServiceNow SAM Pro operations: Perform day-to-day operational activities within ServiceNow SAM Pro, including entitlement loading, software normalization, software model mapping, publisher and publisher part-number maintenance, and content-library request support.
• Support software purchase processing: Work through Ariba purchase alerts and approved software purchases, ensuring each purchase is evaluated, mapped, and recorded accurately within the SAM Pro environment.
• Maintain data quality at enterprise scale: Operate in a large-scale environment with millions of discovered software records, applying strong attention to detail to prevent incorrect software models, normalization errors, or entitlement mapping issues that could impact license management and downgrade rights.
• Understand interconnected SAM processes: Demonstrate practical knowledge of how entitlements, normalized software models, publishers, content-library data, CMDB records, and source discovery data interact across the ServiceNow SAM ecosystem.
• Review and act on normalization recommendations: Assess machine-learning-supported normalization suggestions, prioritize licensable software and entitlement-related items, and help reduce normalization and entitlement backlogs through accurate operational execution.
• Collaborate with operational and technical stakeholders: Work closely with operational team, SAM architecture stakeholders, hiring teams, and practice contacts while demonstrating strong ServiceNow navigation, reasoning, communication, and practical problem-solving skills during execution and assessments.
