Job Description

Job Purpose & Primary Objectives

The Salesforce Sales & Service Cloud Technical Developer is responsible for implementing, customizing, and maintaining Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud solutions to meet evolving business requirements. This role involves hands-on development using Apex, Triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and declarative tools while ensuring best practices, scalability, and security.

Additionally, the developer will leverage Microsoft 365 Copilot AI tools to automate documentation, enhance collaboration, and improve productivity throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Development & Customization

  • Build and customize Salesforce applications using Apex, LWC, Visualforce, and declarative tools.
  • Configure and customize Sales Cloud and Service Cloud features, including Case Management, Omni-Channel, and Service Console.
  • Implement business process automation using Flows, Process Builder, and custom triggers.

Integration

  • Design and develop integrations with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft).
  • Ensure secure, reliable, and efficient data exchange between Salesforce and third-party applications.

Performance & Security

  • Optimize application performance and ensure scalable solution design.
  • Implement Salesforce best practices related to governor limits, bulkification, and security.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and other applicable data protection and security standards.

Productivity & Collaboration (AI Enablement)

Utilize Microsoft 365 Copilot AI Tools For

  • Automating technical documentation and generating architecture diagrams.
  • Summarizing meetings and creating actionable insights in Microsoft Teams.
  • Streamlining project tracking and reporting using SharePoint and Planner.

Quality Assurance

  • Perform unit testing and maintain high-quality Apex test coverage.
  • Participate in peer code reviews and technical walkthroughs.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to ensure defect-free releases.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with Business Analysts and Solution Architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Actively participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and solution discussions.

Key Skills & Knowledge

Salesforce Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud features.
  • Proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce data model, security, and sharing rules.

Integration

  • Hands-on experience with REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Experience with middleware platforms such as MuleSoft (preferred).
  • Understanding of API-driven architecture and microservices concepts.

AI & Productivity Tools

  • Practical experience or exposure to Microsoft 365 Copilot for workflow automation and collaboration.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I (Mandatory)
  • Salesforce Platform Developer II (Preferred)
  • Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant
  • Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant

Soft Skills

Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
  • Strong experience in Sales Cloud and Service Cloud implementations.
  • Proven experience in Salesforce customizations and integrations.
  • Hands-on experience with Apex, LWC, and declarative automation tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Exposure to AI-driven productivity tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot is a plus.
