Job Description

Role summary

Configure, troubleshoot and stabilize Customer Salesforce SPIFF incentive-compensation solution — plans, crediting, rules engine, statements, approvals and payout — and drive the payout-reconciliation accuracy that Wave-1 validation currently lacks, operating with rigorous release discipline in a production-first environment.

Key responsibilities

•    Configure and maintain SPIFF compensation plans: payee-based crediting, pay-component codes (e.g. ATTGP, ATTSLS, ATTUNITS, ASP, BON, HRDAVG, PPR), eligibility rules, rules engine and quota groups.

•    Build and validate commission statements, approval workflows and payout logic; ensure attainment (MTD / OTA) calculations reconcile to source data.

•    Diagnose and resolve payout mismatches — quota, actuals and gross-earned discrepancies — and lift validation match-rates toward target across LOBs.

•    Manage OTA log reloads, month-to-date sales batches and platform-event-driven recalculations.

•    Operate safely in a single Dev/UAT/Production environment: strong change control, migration discipline and no-regression testing.

•    Log, track and resolve Salesforce platform cases; partner with Salesforce Support on product defects and escalations.

•    Document configuration patterns, the plan catalog and runbooks; cross-train a backup to eliminate single-person dependency.

•    Support UAT, cutover and hypercare for Wave-1 (Advanced Surgery, Infusion Systems) and subsequent waves.

Must-have qualifications

•    6–10+ years Salesforce delivery, including 3+ years hands-on Salesforce SPIFF / Incentive Compensation Management configuration — or equivalent ICM (Varicent, Xactly, SAP CallidusCloud) with a clear path to Salesforce SPIFF.

•    Deep command of crediting rules, quota and attainment logic, tiered / accelerated payouts, split and overlay crediting, and commission-statement design.

•    Demonstrated payout reconciliation and validation against legacy systems or calculator baselines.

•    Comfort operating in production-first environments with disciplined release management.

•    Strong data skills — SOQL, data loads, and structured reconciliation.

Preferred

•    Medical-device or pharma sales-compensation experience; multi-country (US & Canada) comp models.

•    Exposure to ETM / Sales Planning and MuleSoft-fed commission data.

•    Salesforce SPIFF certification or a recognised ICM certification.
