Role Description

This is a contract, remote role for a Salesforce Solution Architect. The individual will be responsible for designing scalable Salesforce architecture, consulting with clients to fulfill their platform needs, and overseeing integration projects. Day-to-day responsibilities may include analyzing business processes, developing software solutions, creating effective integrations, and ensuring the successful delivery of Salesforce initiatives.

Role Summary

The Senior Salesforce Solution Architect will act as the technical authority responsible for designing and delivering complex, scalable, and secure enterprise solutions on the Salesforce platform. This role demands a blend of deep technical expertise, strategic business understanding, and strong leadership to drive architectural governance and ensure quality across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities

Architectural Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead large-scale, multi-cloud Salesforce implementations ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable and high-performance technical solutions leveraging Salesforce native capabilities, Apex, LWC, and integration tools like MuleSoft and APIs.
  • Establish and enforce governance models, architecture reviews, and best practices for security, data modeling, and code quality.
  • Advise senior stakeholders and executive leadership on platform strategy, roadmaps, and technical debt management.

Development, DevOps & Release Management

  • Mandatory: Design and govern CI/CD pipelines with a deep understanding of DevOps and release management processes.
  • Mandatory: Define and implement Branching Strategy (e.g., GitFlow) and Environment Strategy (sandboxes, scratch orgs) to support efficient, high-quality deployments.
  • Serve as the final technical approver for releases, ensuring all metadata changes meet quality, security, and coding standards (Platform Developer II level).
  • Oversee large data volume (LDV) management strategies including archival, performance optimization, and platform scalability.

Technical Mentorship & Collaboration

  • Mentor Solution Architects, Technical Leads, and Developers across multiple Scrum teams.
  • Facilitate technical discovery and design workshops with client Enterprise Architects and cross-functional teams.
  • Identify and manage technical risks, dependencies, and trade-offs throughout the project lifecycle.

Mandatory Qualifications & Certifications

  • Total Experience: 15+ Years in IT/Software Engineering.
  • Salesforce Experience: 10+ Years in designing and delivering Salesforce solutions.
  • Certification: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II (Mandatory).
  • Expert knowledge of Salesforce Governor Limits, Security Model, and Data Sharing Architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with Version Control (Git), CI/CD tools such as Copado, and release automation frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with experience interacting with global teams and executive leadership.
