At Amgen you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Salesforce applications to meet business needs. You will collaborate with a team of Business Owners, Operations, software engineers, Architects, Product owners, Business Analysts, participate in the full software development life cycle, and ensure the delivery of high-quality code and solutions. Your strong programming skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail will contribute to the development of robust and scalable software solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Salesforce Lightning components using LWC and Aura frameworks to enhance platform functionality and user experience.
- Configure roles, profiles, permission sets, and region-wise security and sharing settings to ensure appropriate access control across user groups.
- Create and customize standard and custom objects, page layouts, validation rules, record types, and formula fields to meet business requirements.
- Develop and maintain Apex classes, triggers, Visualforce pages, and custom controllers as needed.
- Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and external/internal systems using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware.
- Utilize Copado deployment tool to manage source control, deployments, pipeline automation, and environment management in support of release processes
- Apply Salesforce development best practices to ensure code reusability, maintainability, and compliance with performance and scalability standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve development or configuration issues during QA, UAT, and production support cycles.
- Participated in design reviews, sprint planning, and code reviews, contributing to Agile/Scrum ceremonies and delivery cycles.
- Maintain documentation including technical design, solution architecture, and release notes for enhancements and projects.
- Ensure all development work adheres to GxP, CSV, and compliance requirements, including documentation traceability and audit readiness.
- Collaborate with business analysts, Quality and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable and compliant Salesforce solutions.
- Stay up to date with Salesforce platform releases, new features, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and platform optimization.
- Ensure to perform Unit testing on the functionality before moving to higher environments.
- Support the operations team with User Access Management or Configuration changes or Data Migration activities or Data discrepancies on demand.
- Ensure to Resolve or Mitigate Security Code Scan Risks & Vulnerabilities.
- Utilize Salesforce Reporting capabilities to design various reports to tailor to the Stakeholder needs.

- Ability to develop Rubric within salesforce and inculcate required assessment to calibrate the functionality.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's /master's degree and 5-9 years of Computer Science, IT or related field experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's /master's in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
- 5-9 years of experience in Salesforce development including Lightning Components, Apex, Visualforce, and platform configuration
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce security models, role hierarchy, sharing rules, and field-level access
- Solid hands-on experience of implementing Salesforce Configurations, Apex, LWC, Aura
- Strong understanding of Salesforce object model, workflows, validation rules, and triggers
- Experience with Salesforce integrations using RESTful and SOAP web services
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD tools, and version control systems like Git & GIT
- Proven experience working with Copado for deployment automation, CI/CD pipeline configuration, and release management
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues across multiple environments
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams supporting enterprise applications
- Salesforce platform certifications are Mandatory.
- Ensure data integrity through effective use of SOQL, SOSL, data loader, and batch processes
- Lead business requirements with data analysis and quality assurance, User acceptance testing, CRT, data bricks knowledge will be a plus.
Must-Have Skills:
- Proficient in developing custom solutions using Salesforce Lightning Components (Aura and LWC), Apex classes, Visualforce pages, and Apex triggers, including batch classes and schedulers with exception handling.
- Experience configuring standard/custom objects, fields, page layouts, validation rules, roles, profiles, permission sets, and region-specific sharing and access models.
- Hands-on experience integrating Salesforce with internal and external systems using REST and SOAP APIs; familiarity with middleware for system interoperability.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools, version control systems (e.g., Git), and CI/CD pipelines beyond Copado, contributing to efficient and traceable deployments.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot platform issues, optimize performance, and explore emerging Salesforce features for continuous improvement.
- Skilled in using Copado for deployment automation, CI/CD pipeline configuration, source control management, and environment management across multiple sandboxes.
- Deep understanding of Salesforce object model, workflows, formula fields, and Apex triggers customizing and extend platform functionality.
- Knowledge on analysis Veracode scan risks & vulnerabilities & provide technical resolution
- Strong knowledge on helping the stakeholders with the report's generation using Salesforce reporting functionality.
- Working experience on creating rubric for prioritization and scoring of various elements in the applications.
- Working experience on writing queries and finding RCA & providing resolutions.
- Ability to adapt to the changing needs of the technical needs of the system.
