Job Description

The DevOps Lead is responsible for defining and executing the DevOps strategy for Salesforce and Omnistudio (Vlocity) projects. This includes establishing scalable CI/CD pipelines, managing releases, automating deployments, ensuring security and compliance, and leading cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

DevOps Strategy & Leadership

  • Establish and lead the DevOps vision for Salesforce and Omnistudio (Vlocity) projects using Azure DevOps best practices
  • Define, implement, and continuously improve end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce and Omnistudio (Vlocity) releases
  • Mentor and coach DevOps engineers and development teams, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement

Technical Implementation

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Git, and related technologies
  • Automate build, test, and deployment processes for Salesforce metadata, Apex code, Lightning components, and integrations
  • Manage source code repositories, branching strategies, and release management aligned with best practices
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in release pipelines
  • Implement security controls, access management, and compliance measures within the DevOps ecosystem

Collaboration & Communication

  • Collaborate with Salesforce and Omnistudio (Vlocity) developers, solution architects, QA engineers, and business stakeholders
  • Provide regular updates, progress reports, and recommendations to senior leadership and project stakeholders

Performance Monitoring & Optimization

  • Define and track key KPIs for DevOps processes, continuously optimizing pipelines for efficiency and reliability
  • Utilize monitoring and analytics tools to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and potential risks
  • Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for deployment or integration issues

Documentation & Knowledge Management

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, release management, and support procedures

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years of progressive DevOps experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or team lead role
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Salesforce and Omnistudio (Vlocity) deployment and environment management
  • Proven experience with Azure DevOps (pipelines, boards, repos, artifacts) and integrations with Azure services
