JOB DESCRIPTION

This position requires a highly skilled and experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing innovative marketing automation solutions within the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform. You will play a crucial role in enhancing customer engagement and driving business growth by leveraging your technical expertise to create personalized and impactful marketing experiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer, your responsibilities will include:

• Campaign Development & Automation:Developing and implementing integrated marketing automation solutions, including complex customer journeys using Journey Builder and automated workflows via Automation Studio. This involves configuring triggers, designing email content, and personalizing experiences.
• Data Management & Analytics:Ensuring data integrity by creating, managing, and optimizing Data Extensions, audience segments, and data flows. You will also be responsible for writing SQL queries to populate data extensions and supporting data analysis and reporting to identify areas for campaign improvement.
• API Integrations & Customizations:Building custom integrations between Salesforce Marketing Cloud and various external systems, including Salesforce CRM, databases, and other marketing tools, using REST and SOAP APIs. This streamlines data exchange and automates workflows.
• Email & Landing Page Development:Designing, developing, and deploying responsive, dynamic, and personalized email templates and landing pages using HTML, CSS, and AMPscript to ensure visual appeal and accurate rendering across devices.
• Troubleshooting & Optimization:Monitoring and analyzing campaign performance metrics, providing insights, IPWarming, SAP and offering recommendations for optimization. This includes troubleshooting technical errors, performing A/B testing, and implementing best practices to improve marketing automation performance.
• Admin:
  • User management: Adding, removing, and managing user accounts and permissions.
  • Data management: Data quality, importing/exporting data, automation using workflows and processes.
  • Security management: User access control, data encryption, and compliance.
  • Customization: Creating custom fields, objects, and reports to fit specific needs.
  • Integrations: Connecting Salesforce with other applications and systems.
  • AppExchange adoption: Managing and maintaining third-party apps within Salesforce.
• Collaboration:Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, creative, technical, and business stakeholders, to translate marketing strategies into technical solutions and ensure project success.
• Platform Expertise:Staying up-to-date with the latest Salesforce Marketing Cloud features, releases, and trends in digital marketing and email marketing.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience:Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud development and implementation.
• Platform Proficiency:Proven expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud modules such as Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Mobile Studio, and Data Extensions.
• Technical Skills:Strong proficiency in:
  • AMPscript:For dynamic content and personalization.
  • SQL:For data extraction, segmentation, and manipulation.
  • HTML/CSS:For building and refining content blocks, email templates, and landing pages.
  • JavaScript (including SSJS):For advanced scripting and interactive elements.
• Integration Experience:Solid experience with API integrations (REST, SOAP) to connect Marketing Cloud with external platforms and CRM systems.
• Data Management:Strong understanding of data modeling, data configuration, manipulation, advanced segmentation, and audience management within Marketing Cloud.
• Marketing Best Practices:Deep understanding of marketing automation principles and email marketing best practices.
• Problem-Solving:Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
• Teamwork:Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.

Good to Have

• Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Marketing, or a related field.
• Salesforce Ecosystem Knowledge:Familiarity with other Salesforce Clouds (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud) and how they integrate with Marketing Cloud.
• Additional Scripting/Programming:Experience with other programming languages like Python or Apex.
• Analytics Tools:Experience with data analysis and reporting tools beyond Marketing Cloud's native capabilities.
• Database Knowledge:Knowledge of database management concepts.
• Strategic Thinking:A background in strategically planning and executing marketing journeys and understanding business processes.
• Communication & Project Management:Strong communication and project management skills to liaise with various stakeholders and manage project timelines.

• Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Developer:This certification validates a developer's ability to build personalized, dynamic messages and landing pages, and to implement Marketing Cloud's scripting languages, APIs, and automation tools.
• Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist:Often a recommended prerequisite or foundational certification, it emphasizes email marketing best practices and the application of these techniques in Email Studio.
• Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Administrator:This certification is geared towards administrators capable of configuring Marketing Cloud products and maintaining solutions.
