Job Description: Salesforce Engineer / Consultant (FSC + Agentforce | Insurance)
Role title: Salesforce Engineer / Consultant – Financial Services Cloud (FSC) + Agentforce (Insurance)
Role purpose / objective
You will be a hands-on, technically strong Salesforce Engineer/Consultant responsible for designing, building, and delivering scalable Salesforce solutions for an insurance environment, with a primary focus on Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC) and Agentforce capability. The role blends deep engineering skills with consulting capability to ensure solutions are robust, governed, and production ready.
Specifically, you will establish Agentforce foundations and deliver scoped Agentforce functionality for FSC Release 2, ensuring the solution is scalable, governed, and aligned to FSC and Data Cloud principles.
Key responsibilities (What you will do)
1) Agentforce foundations & Release 2 delivery (core focus)
- Design and implement Agentforce foundational architecture, including decisioning patterns, data dependencies, and orchestration approach.
- Assess and define data readiness requirements for Agentforce, aligning to FSC data structures and (where relevant) Data Cloud concepts.
- Partner with integration and FSC engineers to ensure required data is available, reliable, and production-ready.
- Design Agentforce solutions that meet Release 2 needs while enabling future expansion without rework.
- Deliver scoped Release 2 Agentforce functionality and support SIT/UAT and go-live readiness.
2) FSC solution design & implementation (Insurance context)
- Translate business outcomes into scalable FSC designs, including data model alignment, automation patterns, and solution architecture.
- Build, test, and deploy Salesforce functionality using Apex, Lightning (LWC), integrations, and automation (Flow) with strong engineering discipline.
- Drive fit-for-purpose configuration vs code decisions to reduce technical debt and maximise maintainability.
3) Data Cloud alignment & data governance (to support Agentforce)
- Define and implement data plumbing and governance practices needed for Agentforce readiness (e.g., ingestion, mapping, identity resolution, permissions, monitoring).
- Ensure secure handling of sensitive data and strong governance controls (permissions/access, auditability, data quality signals).
4) Integration engineering (enterprise insurance landscape)
- Design and implement integrations with enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware (e.g., MuleSoft) to support FSC and Agentforce data needs.
- Support performance tuning and reliability of integration/data flows required for Release 2 cutover and stabilisation.
5) Quality, DevOps & release management
- Implement robust engineering practices: code reviews, automated testing, regression discipline, controlled releases, and CI/CD alignment.
- Produce high-quality technical documentation: solution designs, data models, integration specs, deployment guides.
6) Consulting & stakeholder engagement
- Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to shape scope, manage constraints, and deliver outcomes with transparency.
- Provide guidance and uplift capability across teams via mentoring and reusable patterns/standards. [
Must-have skills & experience (shortlisting essentials)
- Hands-on Agentforce experience delivering real capability (not just training).
- Strong understanding of FSC data models and automation patterns.
- Demonstrated experience designing AI / recommendation-driven solutions with strong data and governance foundations.
- Strong Salesforce engineering capability:
- Apex, LWC, Salesforce automation (Flow), and solution design.
- Integration engineering using REST/SOAP and enterprise patterns.
- Practical Data Cloud alignment skills:
- Understanding data ingestion, mapping, identity resolution, permissions, monitoring, and governance concepts required to make agent outcomes reliable.
- Proven delivery through SIT/UAT and go-live readiness, operating in release/cutover environments.
- Insurance implementation experience (claims, policy, broker/distribution, regulated data handling).
