The Software Engineer - Salesforce is responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting Salesforce applications across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud environments. This role develops custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), React, and Salesforce Flow automation while supporting integrations, deployments, and ongoing platform enhancements. The Salesforce Developer collaborates with business stakeholders, architects, administrators, and project teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that support business objectives.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Salesforce applications and customizations across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
  • Develop custom business functionality using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce platform capabilities.
  • Create, maintain, and optimize Salesforce Flows and automation processes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Design, develop, and support Experience Cloud portals and customer-facing solutions.
  • Configure Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, validation rules, and security settings as required.
  • Develop and support integrations between Salesforce and third-party applications using APIs and integration technologies.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, administrators, architects, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Perform unit testing, system testing, defect resolution, and application troubleshooting activities.
  • Support application deployments, release management processes, and production support activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues while ensuring system stability and performance.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and support documentation.
  • Follow established development standards, coding best practices, and governance requirements.
  • Stay current with Salesforce platform capabilities, development technologies, and industry best practices.

Qualifications


Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job-related Experience


  • Customarily has at least 3-5 years of experience in Salesforce application development.
  • Experience in developing solutions within Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud environments.
  • Experience in developing custom solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce Flow automation.
  • Experience in building and supporting Experience Cloud portals and customer-facing applications.
  • Experience in integrating Salesforce with external applications and enterprise systems.
  • Experience in participating in Agile software development environments.
  • Experience in supporting application deployments and production support activities.
  • Experience with React development is preferred.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is preferred.
  • Salesforce certifications are preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
  • Proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Salesforce Flow, and Salesforce platform development.
  • Experience with React and modern web development concepts.
  • Understanding of Salesforce security, sharing models, and platform configuration.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce integration patterns, APIs, and web services.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD methodologies and deployment automation tools.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

Working Conditions

Work is primarily performed in an office, remote, or hybrid environment depending on business requirements. May require collaboration with global teams across multiple time zones. Ability to work extended hours or participate in after-hours support activities as needed to support project deliverables and operational requirements.
