Salesforce Developer (GTG)

Job Summary:

The Salesforce.com Developer position provides ongoing development support, fine-tuning, and integrations for multiple Salesforce organizations for TEGNA Media. The primary role of this position is to provide ongoing application development, process integration, customized application creation and technical support to ensure Salesforce environments align with business strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain custom applications on the Salesforce.com platform including Apex, Visual Force, Lightning Web Components, and other technologies within the Salesforce ecosystem. (80%)
• Provide technical design and analysis for business teams that may include researching innovative technologies and applying solutions to business needs. (10%)
• Understand Salesforce integration between other databases and data sources using development and ETL tools. (10%)
• Assist with supporting and maintaining the Salesforce.com QA environments to ensure synchronization between QA/DEV/PROD environments. (10%)

Requirements:

• 4-year IT degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years experience in Salesforce.com design and development with Salesforce.com, Eclipse, and Force.com development tool sets.
• Salesforce Developer Certification preferred. (DEV201 and DEV401)
• 3+ years of strong object-oriented development skills, preferably Java, .Net, JSP/ASP or equivalent.
• Experience in HTML/XHTML, XML, CSS, Java, JavaScript, AJAX, REST, SOAP-based web services are preferred.
• Salesforce experience includes:
• Familiarity of Salesforce cloud applications: Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Salesforce App Cloud, and Mobile platform.
• Integrating Salesforce.comForce.com with relational databases and proficiency in Salesforce.com.
• Development skill set including creating custom objects, workflows, triggers, Apex, VisualForce, Force.com IDE, migration tools, SOSQL, and web services.
• Experience with Salesforce Lightning Web Components and Salesforce Mobile development.
• Experience with enterprise integration to Salesforce.com and integration tools including data loader and migration/ETL tools such as
• Experience with agile development methodology and understanding requirements, story development, design, testing and scope management.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Effectively communicate technical issues and assist with resolving bugs.
• Ability to work independently on development projects.
• Ability to prioritize multiple complex tasks/projects and follow through to completion independently or as part of development team.
