Key Responsibilities:
- Data Migration Strategy:
- Design, develop, and implement effective data migration strategies for the transfer of data from various systems to Salesforce. This includes understanding source data structures, analyzing requirements, and selecting the most efficient migration techniques.
- Data Mapping & Transformation:
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements and business logic. Create data mapping documents, define transformation rules, and ensure smooth data conversion between legacy systems and Salesforce.
- Salesforce Integration:
- Leverage Salesforce tools such as Data Loader, Salesforce APIs, and third-party data integration tools (e.g., KingswaySoft, MuleSoft) for data migration. Develop and execute data loading, transformation, and validation processes.
- Data Quality & Validation:
- Ensure that data is accurate, consistent, and compliant with business standards. Perform data validation before, during, and after migration to ensure data integrity. Handle any data quality issues proactively.
- Customization & Configuration:
- Collaborate with Salesforce administrators and developers to configure the Salesforce platform to accommodate the imported data. Customize fields, objects, and workflows as necessary to meet business needs.
- Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:
- Identify and resolve any issues related to data migration, including data integrity problems, mapping issues, and performance bottlenecks. Provide timely resolution and recommendations for improvements.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Document data migration plans, processes, and procedures. Maintain records of the data migration process and create detailed reports to track progress and issues.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Engage with business stakeholders, project managers, and Salesforce teams to understand data requirements, timelines, and project milestones. Provide regular updates and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Testing & UAT Support:
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by ensuring that the migrated data is aligned with business processes and requirements. Help teams verify the functionality of Salesforce post-migration.
- Training & Knowledge Transfer:
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams regarding data migration tools, techniques, and best practices. Ensure smooth handover of post-migration activities to support teams.
