Position Overview
- We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive new business acquisition across the North American market. This role is ideal for a hunter-type sales professional with a proven track record of generating leads, building pipelines, developing executive relationships, and closing consulting and technology services deals.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, engaging prospects, managing the sales cycle, and collaborating with delivery and presales teams to drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Lead Generation
- Identify, prospect, and generate new business opportunities across the United States and Canada.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, social selling, and strategic outreach.
- Develop target account strategies and execute account-based selling initiatives.
- Leverage LinkedIn, industry events, partnerships, and marketing campaigns to generate qualified leads.
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Own the full sales lifecycle from prospecting to contract execution.
- Conduct discovery meetings to understand client challenges and business objectives.
- Present Plumlogix's Salesforce, AI, CRM, and digital transformation capabilities to prospective clients.
- Collaborate with presales, solution architects, and leadership teams to develop compelling proposals and solution presentations.
- Negotiate commercial terms and successfully close deals.
- Consistently achieve and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
Relationship Management
- Build relationships with CIOs, CTOs, VP Technology, CRM Leaders, Digital Transformation Leaders, and Procurement teams.
- Establish trusted advisor relationships with prospects and clients.
- Maintain accurate pipeline forecasts and opportunity tracking within CRM systems.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technology opportunities.
- Identify new verticals, partnerships, and go-to-market opportunities.
- Provide market feedback to leadership regarding customer needs and competitive positioning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience selling IT services, Salesforce consulting services, cloud solutions, digital transformation services, or enterprise software.
- Demonstrated success in generating net-new business and closing deals in the North American market.
- Strong understanding of consultative and solution-based selling methodologies.
- Experience managing opportunities with deal sizes ranging from $50K to $1M+.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
- Ability to work effectively with offshore delivery and presales teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling Salesforce consulting, CRM, AI, Data, Cloud, or Digital Transformation services.
- Existing network of decision-makers across North America.
- Experience working with SI, consulting, staffing, or managed services organizations.
- Knowledge of Public Sector, Healthcare, Education, Nonprofit, or Commercial industries.
- Salesforce certifications are a plus.
