About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce B2B Commerce Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, enterprise-grade B2B commerce solutions. In this role, you will define the overall commerce architecture, guide development teams, and ensure seamless integration with upstream and downstream systems such as ERP, OMS, and third-party platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Solution Design

Own end-to-end architecture of Salesforce B2B Commerce Cloud implementations

Design scalable, secure, and high-performing B2B commerce solutions aligned with business needs

Define reference architecture, integration patterns, and best practices for Salesforce Commerce implementations

Salesforce B2B Commerce Expertise

Lead configuration of catalogs, pricing, buyer groups, stores, and entitlements

Design solutions for complex B2B scenarios: contract pricing, account-based buying, approval workflows, and custom checkout flows

Guide teams on extensibility using Apex, LWC, APIs, and Commerce frameworks

Integrations & Data

Architect integrations with ERP (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), OMS, payment gateways, tax engines, and fulfillment systems

Design data models and data flows across Salesforce clouds and external platforms

Ensure data consistency, performance, and scalability

Technical Leadership & Governance

Act as technical lead for commerce initiatives, working with product owners, developers, QA, and DevOps

Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and ensure Salesforce best practices

Own documentation and governance for all B2B architecture components

Stakeholder Collaboration

Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions

Present solution architectures to business and IT leadership

Support estimation, planning, and delivery across Agile programs

Required Qualifications

Experience

8+ years of overall Salesforce experience

5+ years hands-on experience with Salesforce B2B Commerce Cloud (CloudCraze or native B2B Commerce)

Proven experience delivering end-to-end B2B commerce implementations

Technical Skills

Expert knowledge of Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC)

Salesforce APIs (REST/SOAP), Platform Events, integration patterns

Strong understanding of Salesforce security, sharing, and performance optimization

Familiarity with middleware platforms like MuleSoft

Commerce Knowledge

Deep understanding of B2B commerce processes: catalog, pricing, promotions, account hierarchy, quoting, carts, checkout, order lifecycle

Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud in commerce-led solutions

Soft Skills

Excellent communication and stakeholder management

Ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences

Strong documentation and governance mindset

Preferred Qualifications

Salesforce certifications: B2B Commerce Architect, Application Architect, or System Architect

Experience with Salesforce Order Management, CPQ, or Revenue Cloud

Multi-cloud implementation experience (Sales, Service, Marketing, Experience Cloud)

Knowledge of headless commerce and API-first models

Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and Salesforce deployment tools

Exposure to AI/ML capabilities within Salesforce or Agentforce
