Position Summary
The Data Specialist at Willscot will be responsible for maintaining and managing data within Salesforce (SFDC) and partnering with other connected platform owners to ensure proper data transfer. This role will involve close collaboration with multiple departments, including IT, marketing, commercial sales, customer service, collections, finance, and operations.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
Execution of data activities supporting ongoing business activities: According to SLA commitments, triage, prepare, and execute ongoing data related requests submitted by the business or in support of new development activities. Such items include account designations, project and task loads, break fixes, mass assignment updates, or new field population.
Data Governance: Assess the current state of data to identify gaps or inconsistencies and plan for resolution. Collaborate across platforms to ensure consistency and proper flow and alignment of data. Identify risks and propose process improvements to drive continuous improvement and overall data integrity
Data Cloud and New Technologies: Support the setup and ongoing use and optimization of Salesforce Data Cloud within the Salesforce ecosystem ensuring governance and activation of unified customer data. Continuously exploring new technologies or methodologies to enhance efficiency and data integrity.
Meta Data Leadership: Serve as primary liaison to the SFDC team for all meta data changes scheduled as part of ongoing company transformation. Execute or communicate changes affecting the system due to branch network optimization, restructure decisions, meta data committee changes, and acquisition updates
Reporting: Support ad hoc reporting needs from business functions that do not have a designated analyst staff. Support IT project validation and performance tracking through report and dashboard building.

Required skills and qualifications
•
Minimum Graduate degree in Information Technology, Data Management, Business or related fields
•
5+ years of progressive experience managing customer/prospect data in Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
•
5+ years experience within the Salesforce application including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, and/or Commerce Cloud. Salesforce certification(s) a plus.
•
Proven track record in defining data quality standards and data governance principles to uphold data integrity and prevent duplication.
•
Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and other query tools for data extraction and transformation.
•
Strong fluency in SFDC Reporting tools, Tableau, and similar data visualization tools to generate insightful reports.
