Job description: Sales Training
Location: Yelahanka, Bangalore
About The Gig
To design, deliver, and evaluate sales training programs aimed at enhancing the skills, product knowledge, and performance of the electric 2-wheeler sales team and dealer partners, contributing to overall business growth.
What You'll Do
- Training Design & Delivery
- Develop and execute induction and periodic training programs for sales executives, dealership staff, and field sales teams.
- Customize training modules focusing on EV technology, USPs, selling techniques, and customer handling.
- Conduct on-ground and virtual training sessions across regions.
- Translate complex product features into customer-centric sales language.
- Performance Evaluation & Feedback
- Assess training effectiveness through pre/post-training evaluations, roleplays, and field assessments.
- Gather feedback from trainees and sales leadership to improve training content and methods.
- Identify individual and team training needs through performance metrics and field visits.
- Content Development
- Create engaging training materials: PPTs, manuals, e-learning modules, and video content tailored for EV 2-wheeler sales.
- Coordinate with product and marketing teams to ensure timely updates of product training modules.
- Dealer & Channel Partner Enablement
- Train dealership sales staff on customer engagement, test ride management, CRM tools, and product positioning.
- Support dealer onboarding with sales process training and customer interaction strategies.
- Field Training & Coaching
- Conduct regular field visits to coach sales personnel during customer interactions.
- Monitor improvements and coach low-performing team members to boost effectiveness.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline (preferably in Business, Engineering, or Marketing).
- MBA/PGDM in Sales, Marketing, or HR (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in sales training, preferably in automotive, EV, or consumer durables.
- Hands-on experience training dealership staff or channel sales teams.
- Exposure to electric vehicle products, customer behavior, and competitive landscape.
- Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of electric mobility trends and consumer behavior in the 2-wheeler segment.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to simplify technical product knowledge for end-consumer sales.
- Strong command of regional languages (if multi-regional role).
- Analytical mindset to evaluate performance data and training impact.
- Willingness to travel extensively (up to 60%)
- Certification in Sales Training / Instructional Design is a plus.
