Openhouse is a learning hub for children, offering hands-on programs across preschool, art, music, public speaking, STEM, robotics, and more. We believe children learn best by doing, exploring, creating, and expressing themselves. Our teams work closely with parents to help them understand the value of joyful, skill-based learning.

We are looking for a Sales Trainer who can strengthen our counselling and sales teams by building their confidence, communication skills, product understanding, and ability to connect meaningfully with parents.

Role Overview

The Sales Trainer will be responsible for training, coaching, and developing our sales and parent counselling teams. The ideal candidate should understand B2C sales, parent conversations, education offerings, and customer psychology. They should be able to simplify curriculum and program details for sales teams and help them communicate Openhouse's value clearly to parents.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Training & Coaching

  • Train sales and counselling teams on effective parent communication, lead handling, objection handling, and conversion techniques
  • Conduct regular role plays, mock calls, pitch practice, and feedback sessions
  • Build team confidence in explaining Openhouse programs, curriculum, learning outcomes, and child development benefits
  • Help the team improve call quality, counselling conversations, trial conversions, and enrolment closures

Product & Curriculum Understanding

  • Understand Openhouse programs across preschool, art, music, public speaking, STEM, robotics, and other categories
  • Translate curriculum details into simple, parent-friendly talking points for the sales team
  • Train teams to explain learning outcomes in a warm, credible, and non-pushy manner
  • Ensure the team understands children's age groups, parent expectations, and program suitability

Training Content & Process

  • Create training modules, scripts, pitch decks, objection-handling guides, FAQs, and assessment formats
  • Develop onboarding plans for new sales team members
  • Maintain a regular training calendar for new joinees and existing team members
  • Track training effectiveness through assessments, call audits, shadowing, and performance reviews

Performance Improvement

  • Work closely with admission managers and Centre Directors to identify skill gaps and improve team performance
  • Analyse parent conversations, and conversion data to identify training needs
  • Provide structured feedback to team members and managers
  • Support teams during new program launches, campaigns, events, and admission seasons

Ideal Candidate Profile

The right candidate should have-

  • 2–3+ years of experience in training, preferably in sales training
  • Prior experience in B2C sales environments
  • Strong understanding of customer counselling, objection handling, and conversion processes
  • Preference for candidates from education, EdTech, preschool, after-school, children's programs, or parent-facing service industries
  • Ability to understand curriculum, child development, learning outcomes, and parent concerns
  • Strong communication, presentation, and coaching skills
  • Ability to create simple, practical training material
  • Comfort with role plays, live coaching, call audits, and feedback conversations
  • A warm, patient, and people-oriented personality

Good to Have

  • Experience training admission counsellors, academic counsellors, inside sales teams, or centre sales teams
  • Understanding of early years education, extracurricular learning, or skill-based learning programs
  • Experience working with parents as customers
  • Ability to train teams in both English and Hindi/Kannada would be an added advantage
