The opportunity:

Currently, we are looking for a suitable candidate to fulfill the role of Sales Support Specialist at our India Operations Centre (INOPC) in Chennai, India.

How you'll make an impact:

  • You will prepare timely and comprehensive techno commercial offersfor Gas Insulated switchgear modifications, bay extensions etc.

  • You will determine most technical appropriate and cost-effective solutions.

  • You will collaborate across the Sales support team in offeringsolutions to country / region specific customers, close collaboration with the Product Group TerritoryMarketing & Service Sales Managers responsible forthe global market.

  • You will analyse customer needs through general market infoand information provided by Service FES/TerritoryManagers.

  • You will ensure all proposals follow relevant Hitachi Energy Procedures and guidelines. You will rationalize terms and conditions.

  • You will review and analyse the Offers/Quotations technicaldocuments and requirements and identify the scopeof supply, configuration of the product with relevantoptions, prepare list of technical deviations andclarifications, prepare data sheets, prepareincluding quality plans, painting specifications,document lists, etc, preparation of complete commercial quotationconsidering different strategies.

  • You will be supporting ASMs during Offers/Quotations foradequate follow-up and proper answers during theOffer clarification process.

  • You will be coordinating with multiple functions (Design, Projectmanagement, SCM etc) as part of tendering activity.You will do cost analysis & Lost proposal analysis to obtain better futureoffering.

  • You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:

  • You hold a degree in Electrical Engineer.

  • You should have 5 to 10 years of professional workexperience in GIS or EPC or any High voltage / mediumvoltage electrical product sales & tendering.

  • Experience and skill to prepare and support Offer /quotation Process.

  • Experienced in Sales / tendering tools (Any Sales /tendering tools).

  • Knowledge of Power Grid Market & System offerings.

  • Excellent communication skills in English.
