This Position reports to:

Sales Support Manager


Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the assigned Sales organization (division and market) and customers during the proposal process. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your knowledge by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation.

This role is contributing to the Process Automation business in Energy industries division based in Bangalore, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Prepare technical and commercial greenfield/brownfield solution offers based on customer specifications and internal sales/LBU directives, ensuring accurate costing and risk assessment.

  • Act as the single point of contact for customers and internal divisions, ensuring proactive and timely communication throughout the bid lifecycle.

  • Own the entire bid process from lead stage to order award, coordinating inputs from procurement, suppliers, and crossfunctional teams (Legal, Finance, Tax, Insurance).

  • Develop and execute bid plans, using industry knowledge to guide decisionmaking as tender requirements evolve.

  • Deliver highquality bid documentation within deadlines while ensuring alignment with sales strategies and pricing guidelines.

  • Support sales performance through KPIs, analyzing lost opportunities and recommending improvements in collaboration with Sales and LBUs.

  • Lead sales tool deployment and opportunity tracking, gathering business requirements to enhance sales processes and market intelligence.

  • Maintain and update sales process documentation, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance across the division.

Qualifications for the role

  • Minimum14years experience in bidding / Tendering for Automation (DCS /PLC/Safety PLC/Power Management Systems) solutions including cybersecurity for energy industries.

  • Experience in handling MAC / Turnkey bids would be an added advantage.

  • Experience from engineering and project executionis an advantage.

  • Knowledge about market requirements and standardswithin the industry is positive.

  • Knowledge of ABB automation products like 800xA / Symphony Plus will have advantage

  • Engineering degree
