We are looking for a Sales Support Engineer Energy & Process Systems (EPS) with strong techno-commercial understanding of automation systems to join Valmet Automation Solutions.

You will play a key role in the quote-to-order process by preparing accurate, competitive, and professional quotations for Valmet DNA-based DCS and related automation solutions for Energy and Process industries. The role supports a global customer base, starting with APAC and gradually extending to EMEA and the Americas, working closely with sales, engineering, supply chain, and solution management teams.

In This Role You Will Be Responsible For

Preparing technical-commercial quotations for Valmet DNA-based DCS and related EPS automation solutions.

Reviewing RFQs, technical specifications, and customer requirements and translating them into a clear technical and commercial scope.

Using the company's Salesforce-based sales/CPQ tool to configure systems and generate quotations.

Ensuring quotation accuracy in scope, costing, pricing, delivery terms, assumptions, deviations, and exclusions.

Participating in government tenders and large project bids.

Coordinating with consultants, customers, EPC contractors, and OEMs for specification discussions, scope clarifications, and system audits when required.

Working closely with engineering teams to define system architecture, hardware/software configuration, and technical compliance.

Collaborating with supply chain teams to obtain vendor pricing, logistics inputs, and cost-optimization opportunities.

Aligning with solution management and sales teams on portfolio alignment, customer requirements, competitive landscape, and pricing strategy.

Building cost models and pricing structures using standardized tools and guidelines while ensuring competitiveness and margin expectations.

Supporting finance and legal teams when required for commercial terms, approvals, and contractual clarifications.

Ensuring timely delivery of quotations, proper documentation, and version control for audit readiness.

Contributing to continuous improvement of quotation processes, templates, and configurators.

Supporting handover meetings and documentation once orders are secured.

Our Expectations For You

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics, Automation Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales Engineering, Proposal Engineering, or automation/DCS techno-commercial roles.

Good understanding of Distributed Control Systems (DCS); knowledge of Valmet DNA is considered a strong advantage.

Experience in Energy or Process industry automation projects is preferred.

Strong knowledge of automation system architecture and DCS components.

Proficiency in Salesforce-based sales/CPQ tools and Microsoft Excel.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple quotations simultaneously.

Good communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into commercial proposals.

Comfortable working with global stakeholders across time zones.

Experience with international bids, EPC contractors, or large industrial projects is considered an advantage.

Understanding of Incoterms, logistics considerations, and tax implications in global quotations is considered an advantage.

Willingness to learn new skills with a collaborative global team and contribute to continuous improvement of the sales support process.
