Overview

  • The position is intended for candidates graduating in 2026, who have no active academic backlogs and have not held full time employment prior to the apprenticeship. Candidates who have previously completed an apprenticeship must maintain a mandatory gap of 365 days before starting a new apprenticeship.

As a Sales Strategy Enablement Apprentice, you will support project/program lead to develops, manages, and executes Sales Strategy project(s). Establishes and maintains key points of contact with internal teams. Uses developed tools to support the business, working closely with Business and Platform experts to hone in on specific data points. Learns the sales landing strategy across various Microsoft sales and planning activities. Synthesizes findings into insights within a project. Conducts market-based research by identifying and gathering information, with guidance from senior colleagues as needed.

Responsibilities

Shadow Cross Functional Joint Planning

  • Establishes and maintains key points of contact with internal teams (e.g., Finance, Marketing, Engineering, Field Sales). Builds working relationships with less experienced project stakeholders and business partners. Shares knowledge with business leaders (e.g., Senior Managers, Directors, Senior Directors) on a particular area of expertise, leveraging and broadening deep sales/product knowledge and market/solution area awareness for a domain to inform strategic sales planning decisions.

Support Problem Solving and Insights

  • Synthesizes findings into insights within a project, including implications that inform sales product, solution area, and operational processes. Leverages insights to support strategic recommendations for Microsoft, with guidance from project leads.

Support Sales Insights, Readiness, and Activation

  • Uses developed tools to support the business, working closely with Business and Platform experts to hone in on specific data points. Provides updates to the tool catalogue. Identifies tools and platform issues and escalates to senior employees when necessary. Communicates with field sales on business updates and plans within certain regions.

Shadow Sales Landing

  • Learns the sales landing strategy across various Microsoft sales and planning activities (e.g., Consulting Sales Strategy, Sales Model, Pre-Sales Model, Account and Territory Planning). Assists others to drive product consumption within specific territories.

Support Sales Market Research and Analysis

  • Conducts market-based research by identifying and gathering information (e.g., product reports, solution area performance, previous sales revenue, geographic sales data), with guidance from senior colleagues as needed. Conducts analyses (e.g., financial modeling) for components of sales practices and priorities to validate proposed ideas and inform business decisions for the Field Sales and Partner sales teams. Supports framing for strategic questions, ratifying with colleagues.

Support Sales Strategy Project/Program Leadership

  • Develops, manages, and executes Sales Strategy project(s) as a project/program lead through defining plans, goals, deliverables, feedback, and timing expectations, providing structure and guidance for others. Proactively identifies and address roadblocks. Manages projects independently and/or in collaboration with appropriate stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Pursuing bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Computer Applications, Economics, Math, or related field
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to work with data to support sales strategy enablement and business analysis activities.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated tech passion or curiosity about digital tools, data platforms, or AI
  • Academic or project experience in analytics, data interpretation, or reporting.
