Through properties such as The Community League, we work closely with clubs, academies, brands, corporates, venues, and governing bodies to grow the sporting ecosystem.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially driven Sales & Sponsorship Manager to lead sponsorship sales, business development, and partnership acquisition efforts across our IPs both internal and client owned along with athletes and events.
The ideal candidate should have strong networking abilities, confidence in pitching to decision-makers, and a passion for building long-term partnerships that create value for both brands and the sporting community.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sponsorship Sales
- Identify and approach potential sponsors and commercial partners.
- Develop sponsorship proposals and customized partnership packages.
- Conduct meetings, presentations, and negotiations with prospective sponsors.
- Manage the complete sponsorship sales cycle from lead generation to closure.
- Achieve monthly and annual sponsorship revenue targets.
2. Business Development
- Generate new business opportunities for events, leagues, and consulting services.
- Build relationships with corporates, brands, educational institutions, and sports organizations.
- Explore strategic partnerships that contribute to revenue growth.
- Maintain and grow a robust pipeline of prospects.
3. Account Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for sponsors and partners.
- Ensure delivery of sponsorship benefits and contractual obligations.
- Maintain strong relationships to encourage renewals and upselling opportunities.
- Coordinate with operations, marketing, and content teams to execute partnership deliverables.
4. Proposal & Reporting
- Create sponsorship decks, proposals, and presentations.
- Track sales activities and maintain CRM records.
- Prepare partnership reports and post-event impact summaries.
- Assist in developing new sponsorship assets and commercial opportunities.
Requirements:
Essential
- 2–4 years of experience in sales, sponsorship, marketing, business development, or client servicing.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
- Self-motivated and target-driven mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Willingness to travel for meetings, events, and activations.
Preferred
- Experience in sports, events, media, advertising, or sponsorship sales.
- Existing network within corporates, brands, schools, academies, or sports organizations.
- Understanding of sponsorship valuation and brand partnerships.
