Key job responsibilities
Engage with key customer stakeholders (CIO/CTO/CDO/Head of Applications) to understand their top business priorities and challenges, and build the business case for AI-led digital transformation by working alongside AWS account team and Migration BD executives.
Conduct infrastructure assessments to derive AWS TCO and present AWS value proposition for cloud migrations
Engage subject-matter experts from the specialist community to develop high-level solution design for migration of infrastructure workloads and build a long-term modernization roadmap
Work with solution architect community to conduct architecture design workshops and build POCs, drive AI-led transformation of technology stacks
Work with account teams to identify high-propensity accounts for 1:1 engagement, and prospect for opportunities
Work with sales and technical leadership to drive accountability, establish engagement models, and mechanisms for review and reporting
Voice of the Customer: Support creation of lighthouse references, and share customer and market insights with WW service teams to influence roadmap for services and tools, and develop investment programs.
About the team
We are the Worldwide Specialist Organization, and are a team of sales and business development professionals, specializing in solution-led sales of AWS strategic technology services. We are a diverse community of subject-matter experts that help customers arrive at the most optimal technology decisions for an AI future - spanning infrastructure, applications, database, analytics, and security.
- 10+ years of sales or sales management in infrastructure or cloud technology experience
- 4+ years of technology sales selling enterprise software, networking, infrastructure, managed hosting services, or cloud computing services experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in setting up and managing a sales pipeline
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Experience engaging and influencing C-level executives, both business and technical
- Experience negotiating complex deals with customers and partners or equivalent
- Experience developing and executing sales strategies, tactics, plans, processes, systems and programs
- Knowledge of and experience with cloud infrastructure technologies
- Technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus.
