We're hiring an AI Sales Operations Specialist to support a midmarket B2B field sales team in the building materials/construction space. The job is simple to describe and hard to do: use AI, CRM, and basic automation to get reps to make more calls, follow up more consistently, and work smarter. You'll set up the systems, reports, dashboards, workflows, and AI helpers that make it easier for average reps to behave like top performers and make the sales engine more disciplined.
Responsibilities
- Track daily sales activity (calls, meetings, emails) in the CRM and surface low-activity reps.
- Build simple dashboards and scorecards that show who is working and who isn't.
- Design and maintain automated follow-up sequences (email/LinkedIn) using AI tools.
- Create next-best-action prompts for reps (who to call next, what to send, when to follow up).
- Help clean and maintain CRM data (contacts, companies, deals, stages).
- Support execution of a focused Dream 100 outreach list (top target accounts).
- Coordinate basic research on target accounts (contacts, projects, locations) using AI and data tools.
- Work with leadership to define and update activity targets (calls/day, meetings/week).
- Prepare concise weekly reports on rep activity, pipeline movement, and basic patterns.
- Collaborate with marketing/sales leadership to adjust messaging and sequences based on results.
Requirements
- 2+ years in sales operations, marketing operations, SDR enablement, or similar role.
- Hands-on experience with a CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) for reporting and workflows
- Comfortable using AI tools (ChatGPT / Claude / Perplexity, AI email assistants, etc.) to draft messaging and automate tasks
- Strong skills in building reports and dashboards (in CRM, Sheets, or BI tools).
- Basic understanding of outbound sales: calls, sequences, follow-ups, and pipeline stages.
- High attention to detail and discipline around data hygiene and documentation.
- Clear written communication; able to write short, direct emails and summaries for busy leaders
- Comfort working with field sales teams and pushing for accountability (activity and follow-through)
- Nice to have: experience in building materials, construction, or industrial B2B; experience with tools like Instantly, Clay, Apollo, or similar sales automation platforms.
- Possess a growth mindset, being receptive to feedback and consistently eager to improve daily.
- Open to a challenging role in a fast-paced startup-style environment, with flexibility to work beyond fixed hours, and committed to a full-time remote position aligned with Central Time Zone.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to work independently.
- Must have a reliable computer/laptop, smartphone, WiFi connection, and adequate audio and video equipment for remote collaboration.
