Job Description

Job Title: Sales Officer

Location: Gulbarga (Kalaburagi), Karnataka

Industry: FMCG / Beverages / CPG

Must Have: General Trade experience, Team Handling experience, Territory exposure and Growth mindset

Additional territory to cover -Vijayapura, Bidar, and nearby areas;

Role Overview:

We are seeking a result-oriented Sales Officer to drive primary and secondary sales through strong distributor management and market execution. This is a field-intensive role requiring consistent on-ground presence and effective team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and strengthen distributor relationships to drive business growth
  • Oversee primary and secondary sales for the assigned territory
  • Drive penetration in wholesale and retail markets
  • Execute Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies to enhance coverage and visibility
  • Spend 5–6 hours in the market daily, 5 days a week, ensuring execution excellence
  • Monitor stock levels, billing efficiency, and distributor performance
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and channels
  • Ensure effective implementation of merchandising and promotional activities
  • Track competitor activities and provide market insights

Team Management:

  • Lead and manage a team of field sales executives
  • Drive team performance to achieve sales targets
  • Conduct regular market visits and performance reviews

Candidate Requirements:

  • 5–7 years of experience in FMCG, Beverages, or CPG industry
  • 3–4 years of experience in team handling roles
  • Prior experience in managing the assigned territory or similar markets is essential
  • Strong understanding of distributor handling and wholesale market dynamics
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Willingness to work in a field-driven, market-facing role

Additional Criteria:

  • Open to relocation, provided the candidate has relevant territory exposure
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
