Position Summary:
Responsibilities of Sales of Engineering Plastics Compounds with Techno Commercial
Experience in Marketing / Business Development. Would be responsible for planning
marketing strategies, Coordinating, following up and reviewing the implementation of
the sales and marketing plan for North India.
Contacting and informing existing customers and new prospects, in order to keep the
market up to date about the company product portfolio. Expanding the company
customer base in North India, to contribute to the revenue target.
Identifying and active searching for new prospects, analysing sales potential and work
out sales activities.
Candidate should have catered to E & E, Automotive and ancillary industries.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:-
Identify marketing opportunities, gather customer requirements, define market,
competitor's share, and competitor's strengths and weaknesses; forecast projected
business; establish target market share
Maximizing the sales opportunities, proactively creating new opportunities,
developing & managing relationships with key internal & external stakeholders
Improve product marketability & profitability and product packaging; coordinated
with teams for new product development
Manage Key Accounts for new projects & pricing for executing business in North India
Manage various projects for developing North India specific grades for application
development & market development
Identify & establish dealer network in North India resulting in deeper market
penetration to achieve profitability
Develop new applications in automotive, E & E , Toys & Industrial application
Develop short-term & long-term plans in coordination with stakeholders to expand
business
Driving business growth in terms of value, volume and market share by introducing
new ideas & concepts
Conducting extensive business research & analysis to understand competitor
activities, business expansion opportunities, customers, gaps, market trends and
industry developments & standards
The ideal candidate for the position must be hands-on and must have a strong technical
base in Thermoplastic Injection Molding process as well as a good understanding of
process controls and technical tools used to troubleshoot and solve problems
independently. The individual must have strong interpersonal and organizational
skills and contribute to work in a safe and respectful environment.
Identify technical opportunities with the customer, which will ultimately grow the
business profitably for both parties. Champion these projects internally. Tasks
involved include identification of customer performance requirements, product/
process recommendation and internal work order submittals.
Provides technical support to customers like Data sheet submission, provide
comparison of data sheet with competition grades, advice suitable grade based on
application requirement etc.
Responsible for developing an in-depth knowledge of the customer's application/
requirement
Attends external and internal processing trials, business meetings
Responsible for co-ordinating new application development : Collect all necessary
technical requirement of new applications, discuss with R & D for developing new
grades, assist R & D team in evaluating and testing newly developed material as per
application requirement, try out newly developed grade at customer place, give trial
feedback to R & D & if required suggest necessary modification in grade, retry at
customer place and finally on approval formalize the grade in system
Required Length & Type of Experience:
Polymer Science degree with Minimum 8 to 10 years of related experience in sales
& marketing of Engineering Plastics like Nylon Compound, PBT Compound, PP
Compound, ABS Compound, PC Compound and alloys
