Job Description

Boostorder is hiring: Sales & Marketing Executive

Picture a distributor running forty sales reps on a WhatsApp group and an Excel sheet that's one typo from chaos. That's the problem Boostorder exists to fix — we're an AI-first B2B sales automation platform, already trusted by 400+ brands and distributors — including names like Heineken, Campbell's, Repsol, Ah Cheng Laksa, and Bungkuk's Kaw Kaw — across FMCG, auto parts, industrial/hardware, and F&B, currently across Malaysia and Taiwan, with Japan and Singapore next.

About the role

Most people think this job means working down a list and booking meetings — that's the easy 10%. The other 90% is deciding, before your Sales Consultant's calendar gets touched, whether this business is actually worth their time: does this distributor have budget, does the person on the phone actually decide, is there a real reason for them to move now — and can you get them talking honestly enough about their business to find out. And when it's time to get decision-makers in a room, you're the one making sure the room actually works.

You'll sit inside a Commercial Cell (a Sales Consultant, one or two fellow SMEs, and the Marketing Interns feeding you research) and own this, every week:

  1. Qualify — take the leads marketing hands you and work out real fit and intent using Boostorder's own FATSPIN framework: Fund, Authority, Timing, Situation, Problem, Implication, Need-payoff. Not everyone who fills a form deserves a meeting.
  2. Engage — run the outbound and follow-up cadence yourself, hold the actual discovery conversation, and apply SPIN/SNAP selling to understand a prospect's business well enough to know whether — and why — Boostorder is worth their time.
  3. Handoff — package a qualified opportunity cleanly for your Sales Consultant: clean CRM data, full context, no dropped threads, so they walk into the meeting already knowing why this deal matters.
  4. Run the event — this isn't supporting logistics on the side, it's yours to own: vendor and stakeholder coordination, preparation on schedule, and the room actually running the way it's supposed to, so the decision-makers you and your MIs spent weeks qualifying and inviting actually show up and have a reason to keep talking to us afterward.

You'll leave this role having done real opportunity qualification and event ownership, and understood why qualification and event execution are the same muscle — reading whether a business, and a room, is actually worth the follow-through — a distinction most people don't learn until years into their career.

Does this sound like you (Virtue )

None of that works if you're the wrong person for it. Before we get into what you'll learn or how you'll be measured, here's the character we're actually hiring for:

  • Customer Success — you think about the business on the other end of the call, not just the number you need to hit
  • Data Driven — you'd rather check the pipeline than guess whether a deal is real
  • Continuous Improvement — you assume there's a better qualifying question, and you go find it
  • Ownership — you treat a handoff to the Sales Consultant, or a half-set-up venue an hour before doors open, as still your problem, not something you toss over the wall
  • Coachability & Persistence — you take feedback the first time, and you keep going after the fifth no

What you'll pick up along the way (Skill )

If that's you, here's what this role actually builds in you — not just tasks completed, but skill you keep:

  • Real, hands-on qualification against Boostorder's own FATSPIN framework plus SPIN/SNAP-style discovery — the same frameworks your Sales Consultant runs on, not a junior version of them.
  • A working education in B2B trade and supply chain — ICP fit, customer segmentation, sales/procurement/inventory concepts — from actually qualifying real distributor and brand prospects across FMCG, auto parts, industrial/hardware, and F&B.
  • CRM and pipeline discipline that sales teams live and die by: clean data, accurate stage management, and handoffs that don't need re-explaining.
  • End-to-end event ownership — vendor coordination, on-the-ground troubleshooting, and reading a room of decision-makers in real time, not just filling seats.

How we'll know you're winning (Output )

Character and skill matter, but we don't grade on either. This role is measured on real numbers:

  • Meaningful conversations — outreach activities completed follow-ups completed meaningful conversations achieved outreach response rate conversation-to-meeting conversion rate
  • Qualified opportunities — qualified opportunities generated opportunity acceptance rate by your Sales Consultant pipeline value generated
  • Event execution — preparation completed on time smooth vendor & stakeholder coordination events executed without critical issues post-event satisfaction score

Life at Boostorder

We build around three things that actually drive performance — not perks, not pressure:

  • Play — Clear goals, then real room to figure out how to hit them your way. You'll get the ground to experiment with your own outreach, qualification, and event approach, in a team that's healthy, fun, and doesn't take itself too seriously.
  • Purpose — You're not just filling a pipeline or running a room, you're the filter and the front line that decides which small and mid-sized businesses actually get our sales team's time and a real seat at the table — the ones usually left behind by digital transformation.
  • Potential — This is where you learn what B2B sales and event ownership actually look like outside a textbook. You'll qualify real business owners and run the rooms they walk into, and walk away understanding something most people don't get exposure to until years into their career.

Remuneration & Perks

  • An open, lean environment where decisions move fast and nobody's waiting on three layers of approval — dynamic, young, and genuinely casual (no dress code, and the pantry's stocked).
  • Real mobility — if your performance and interest point somewhere other than where you started, you can move there; a lot of our full-time team started as interns.
  • Above-industry-norm pay and fast-tracked promotions for people who actually perform, not just people with tenure
  • Outpatient medical coverage, a laptop subsidy so you're working on hardware you actually like, a transport allowance, and a one-off allowance to equip yourself properly.
  • Leave that doesn't punish you for not using it — carry forward up to 40 days, and get credit leave back when a public holiday falls on a weekend.

Requirements

We don't care what your background is. We care if you can actually do the job.

The one non-negotiable: good command of English and Mandarin. You'll be running discovery conversations and standing in front of real decision-makers at events — some will only be comfortable in Mandarin, some only in English. If you can't flex between both, the rest doesn't matter.

Beyond that, what actually predicts success here:

  • You've sold before — ideally B2B tech, ERP, or Sales Force Automation, or any SaaS/subscription product — and it's a real bonus if that included distributors in FMCG, auto parts, industrial/hardware, or F&B, since that's exactly who you'll be qualifying here
  • You already have some vocabulary for how a sales conversation is structured — BANT, MEDDIC, SPIN, SNAP, whatever you've picked up — because you'll be running Boostorder's own version of it, FAT SPIN, from day one
  • You've made cold outreach work before, even informally — telemarketing, appointment setting, anything where getting a stranger to say yes and stay honest with you was the job
  • You're process-driven enough to actually keep a CRM clean, not just log into it when someone asks
  • You're genuinely comfortable with AI tools — not I've used ChatGPT once, but you actually reach for it to get work done
  • You're detail-oriented enough that a typo in a CRM record, a misqualified lead, or a wrong vendor delivery time actually bothers you
  • Some exposure to running or coordinating an event, however small, is a real plus — it's a different skill from sales, but it's now part of the job

Degree, major, GPA — genuinely secondary. If you've got the language and the drive, we want to talk to you.
