Aapaavani is a clean-tech start-up specialising in smart and efficient wastewater treatment and other sustainability solutions. Founded by environmental engineers and researchers, we provide reliable, end-to-end solutions for sewage and effluent treatment.

About the role

Identify, reach out, and convert potential industries, apartments, and institutions that need end-to-end water and wastewater solutions. Book and run pilots and create repeatable regional demand through consultant and developer channels. This field-first role combines business development, lead management, technical selling, and client liaison, with heavy travel and on-the-feet conversation skills.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prospect, convert B2B clients, including industrial units, housing societies, & institutions.
  • Work closely with outbound sales resources to maximise conversions.
  • Run cluster routes and perform discovery visits and plant health checks using checklists
  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, from lead qualification to contract signing
  • Support with local outreach, technical demos, and events
  • Run targeted outreach via WhatsApp, LinkedIn, and email using approved templates.
  • Maintain CRM updates, pipeline hygiene, and weekly/monthly sales reports
  • Prospect and manage consultant and EPC relationships with regular check-ins
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets

Work Week: 1-2 days from office/week; 45 days of field travel/week; Sunday off; Most travel in and around Bengaluru; Occasional travel to outstation locations (with travel and stay reimbursement)

Salary & Incentives: 25,000 per month + Incentives

Qualifications & Desirables

  • Any graduate (MBA desirable)
  • A couple of years of experience in B2B sales is desirable
  • Strong sales aptitude, comfortable with consultative selling and technical conversations
  • Willingness to travel 45 days per week on their own (preferably owning a two-wheeler)
  • Field resilience, punctuality, and a client-first attitude are required
  • Good communication in English is a must; fluency in local languages is a plus
  • Basic techno-commercial literacy is a plus
