Zotefoams plc is a world leader in cellular material technology, with facilities in Croydon, UK; Kentucky and Oklahoma, USA; Brzeg, Poland; and Jiangsu Province, China (T-FIT).

We produce lightweight foams for a wide range of markets including sports and leisure, aviation, automotive, and healthcare. Zotefoams also owns and licenses patented technology and supplies advanced insulation systems.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager – India to lead and grow our T‑FIT business across the Indian market. This role will be responsible for managing and developing existing customer accounts, expanding key industry segments, and leading the local sales team to deliver sustainable business growth.

Based in India (Ahmedabad or remote), this position reports directly to the T‑FIT Business Manager and works closely with regional and global stakeholders across sales, supply chain, and technical teams.

Due to the technical and regulated nature of this role, only candidates with direct experience selling engineered solutions into regulated manufacturing environments in India should apply.

Role Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts across India, ensuring high levels of service and long‑term customer relationships
  • Develop key market segments including Biopharma, Biotech, Semiconductors, Food & Beverage, Dairy, and General Industries
  • Lead, coach, and develop the India sales team, overseeing day‑to‑day sales activities and performance
  • Ensure effective pre‑sales support, order processing, and after‑sales service in line with group standards
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts to India and the global T‑FIT leadership team
  • Work closely with supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials
  • Provide technical advice to customers, helping to develop new applications and win new business
  • Convert qualified leads into long‑term customers and establish best sales practices within the team
  • Build, manage, and optimise a distributor network to strengthen local market coverage
  • Gather and analyse market intelligence, industry trends, and competitor insights
  • Travel extensively across the territory to support customers, distributors, and internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate project development from acquisition through to successful commercialisation

What you'll need:

We are looking for candidates who can clearly demonstrate substantial, relevant experience in all of the following areas:

  • A proven track record selling high‑value, engineered or technical solutions within regulated manufacturing environments in India
  • Direct experience working with customers in Biopharma, Biotech, API, Semiconductor, or Food & Beverage manufacturing
  • Hands‑on responsibility for building, managing, and optimising distributor networks across India, including performance management and territory strategy
  • Current or recent responsibility for leading and developing a sales team in India, with clear accountability for results, forecasting, and execution
  • Demonstrable involvement in selling into aseptic, sterile, or controlled production environments (essential)
  • Experience working with global or regional leadership teams, providing structured forecasts and commercial updates
  • Fluency in English and at least one Indian local language, spoken and written

  • Has operated effectively as a senior sales leader in the Indian market, not just as an individual contributor
  • Is comfortable managing complex sales cycles involving technical, commercial, and supply chain stakeholders
  • Has successfully scaled or stabilised a business through structured distributor and channel models
  • Can confidently engage at senior customer level, including plant leadership and procurement decision‑makers
  • Brings a disciplined, data‑led approach to pipeline management, forecasting, and prioritisation
  • Is comfortable travelling extensively and operating within a global, matrixed organisation

This role is not suitable for:

  • Generalist sales profiles without sector depth
  • Candidates without people‑leadership responsibility
  • Sales backgrounds focused on FMCG, commodity products, or pure services
