Role Objective
The City Sales Manager – Vizag will be responsible for leading and scaling the complete city sales operations for fresh microgreens and allied FMCG products across Vizag. This role combines team leadership, field execution, distributor management, sales growth, market expansion, and operational coordination to ensure consistent revenue growth and strong market penetration.
The candidate will oversee the city sales ecosystem including sales executives, distributor relationships, fulfillment coordination, retail expansion, HoReCa growth, merchandising execution, and local marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. City Sales Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, manage, and mentor the city sales team across Vizag.
- Ensure strong on-ground execution through daily field activity monitoring.
- Allocate territories, leads, and target areas among sales executives.
- Conduct:
- Daily review meetings
- Weekly performance evaluations
- Monthly sales audits
- Maintain strong team morale, discipline, accountability, and motivation.
- Drive a high-performance and target-oriented sales culture.
2. Field Sales & Business Development
- Personally oversee and support field sales activities across Vizag city.
- Drive sales growth for:
- Retail stores
- Restaurants
- Cafes
- Hotels (HoReCa)
- Cloud kitchens
- Gyms & wellness centers
- Premium subscription customers
- Generate and monitor new lead pipelines through:
- Cold visits
- Referrals
- Area mapping
- Cluster development
- Support the team in converting high-value and institutional clients.
3. Distributor & Channel Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and channel partners.
- Ensure healthy distributor operations including:
- Secondary sales movement
- Stock rotation
- Product availability
- Payment coordination
- Expand distributor-led FMCG demand and strengthen the city-wide supply network.
- Identify and develop new retail and distribution opportunities.
4. Retail Expansion & Market Penetration
- Expand product availability across high-potential retail outlets and HoReCa clusters.
- Identify new market opportunities and underserved areas within Vizag.
- Increase visibility and market penetration for the brand across retail and food-service channels.
- Develop plans for increasing repeat business and territory coverage.
5. Logistics, Fulfillment & Operational Coordination
- Coordinate closely with operations and logistics teams for:
- Order fulfillment
- Delivery schedules
- Demand forecasting
- Inventory planning
- Ensure smooth last-mile delivery execution and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor fulfillment efficiency and resolve operational bottlenecks quickly.
6. Local Marketing & Merchandising Coordination
- Work closely with the marketing team on:
- Local activation campaigns
- Merchandising strategies
- Retail branding visibility
- Sampling activities
- Promotional execution
- Ensure proper product placement, visibility, and branding at retail and partner locations.
- Suggest city-specific marketing initiatives to improve sales conversion and awareness.
7. Customer Relationship Management
- Build long-term relationships with:
- Store owners
- Chefs
- Restaurant owners
- Outlet managers
- Distributor partners
- Ensure repeat orders and long-term account retention.
- Collect customer feedback and share actionable market insights with management.
8. Sales Targets & Reporting
- Achieve city-level daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
- Maintain structured reporting for:
- Team performance
- Lead conversion
- Active accounts
- Revenue generation
- Share competitor analysis and market intelligence regularly.
- Present actionable growth opportunities to leadership.
9. Market Intelligence & Strategic Growth
- Track:
- Competitor pricing
- Product positioning
- Distribution patterns
- Consumer demand trends
- Identify high-demand microgreen varieties and fast-moving SKUs.
- Strategize new channel expansion opportunities within the FMCG and HoReCa ecosystem.
10. Brand Representation
- Represent the Baghsheen brand professionally in the market.
- Ensure correct brand communication and ethical selling practices.
- Educate customers on:
- Health benefits of microgreens
- Product freshness and quality
- Usage applications across food formats

Eligibility & Requirements
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in:
- FMCG sales
- Food products
- Field sales
- HoReCa sales (preferred)
- Prior experience handling sales teams preferred.
- Telugu language mandatory.
- Basic English communication preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Vizag market, retail clusters, and HoReCa ecosystem.
- Comfortable with extensive field movement.
- Two-wheeler preferred.
