Job Summary:
Oberoi IBC is looking for a Sales Manager based in Varanasi to work closely with Attitude Spices, a brand managed by our agency.
Candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth of Attitude Spices products in Varanasi, UP & rest of India by building and maintaining strong relationships with super stockists, distributors, and retailers. The role involves market research, competitor analysis, schemes and implementing effective marketing and promotional strategies to increase sales.
Important Location Requirement (Please Read Before Applying):
We are only looking for candidates who are currently residing in Varanasi. Since this role requires on-ground coordination with the client, applications from candidates based outside Varanasi will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Super Stockist Management:
- Visit and meet super stockists daily (1-3 per day) to understand market dynamics and competitor activity.
- Gather insights on competitor products, schemes, and strategies.
- Collaborate with super stockists to develop effective marketing and promotional plans.
2. Distributor Management:
- Meet and visit all 400 distributors regularly to understand their challenges and market feedback.
- Analyse competitor activity and identify opportunities to increase sales.
- Develop and implement targeted marketing and promotional strategies to increase average sales per distributor.
- Organise and handle various dealer, distributor, and sales meetings.
3. Retail Store Visits:
- Accompany sales teams on retail store visits to assess market scenario and competitor activity.
- Analyse sales data, schemes, and promotions to identify growth opportunities.
- Develop strategies to increase average sales per retail store.
4. Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct market research to stay updated on competitor activity, market trends, and customer preferences.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve sales and market share.
5. Sales Growth:
- Achieve sales growth in the next one year, leveraging on the association with brand ambassador Kiara Advani and by implementing effective marketing strategies.
Requirements:
- Build strong communication and relationships with trade partners.
- Use analytical and problem-solving skills to drive sales growth.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Get familiar with Varanasi and the entire UP market, and eventually the entire All India market where Attitude Spices sells.
Preferred Background:
Candidates with experience in advertising sales or media will be preferred, including:
- Print Media
- Television Advertising
- Radio Advertising
- Outdoor / OOH Media
- Cinema Advertising
