Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Manager role based in Puducherry. The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales of the company's machinery and related solutions, managing the entire sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure. Daily activities include identifying and qualifying prospects, conducting product presentations and demonstrations, preparing proposals and quotations, and negotiating terms within company guidelines. The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, coordinating closely with technical and service teams, and ensuring timely follow-up on inquiries and after-sales support. The Sales Manager will also track sales performance, prepare regular reports, analyze market trends, and contribute to sales plans and forecasting to achieve regional targets.

Qualifications

  • Proven sales and business development skills, including lead generation, pipeline management, and deal closing.
  • Experience in machinery, medical devices, equipment, or related technical products, with the ability to understand product features and applications.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities to engage with a variety of stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Solid relationship management and customer service skills, with a focus on long-term account growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to analyze sales data, prepare reports, and use CRM or sales tracking tools to monitor performance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Comfort working independently on-site, with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with the Puducherry and nearby markets, and willingness to travel within the region as required.
