Role Description
Sunlight Sports Global is a leading distributor of premium international sports brands. We are looking for a data-driven Sales Performance Manager to oversee our field sales force. Your mission is to bridge the gap between high-level sales strategy and ground-level execution. You will not just track if targets are met, but analyze how they are met; ensuring our sales executives are optimizing their territories, maintaining dealer relationships, and expanding our market footprint.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Force Monitoring: Track daily field activities, beat plans, and visit-to-order conversion rates using SFA (Sales Force Automation) tools.
- Performance Analytics: Conduct deep-dive analysis into sales data to identify top-performing SKUs and underperforming territories.
- Pipeline & Inventory Management: Coordinate between sales forecasts and warehouse stock levels to ensure high-demand equipment is always available for dispatch.
- Dealer Network Auditing: Monitor the health of the distribution channel, ensuring executives are acquiring new retail accounts while maintaining high retention with existing ones.
- Training & Mentorship: Identify skill gaps in the sales team and conduct regular pitch clinics and product knowledge sessions to improve field effectiveness.
- Reporting: Present weekly performance dashboards to leadership, highlighting market trends, competitor activity, and revenue forecasts.
- Collection Oversight: Monitor outstanding payments and ensure the sales team is meeting collection targets to maintain healthy cash flow.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience: 4+ years in Sales Operations, Trade Marketing, or Sales Management. Experience in Sporting Goods, FMCG, or Consumer Durables distribution is ideal.
- Analytical Rigor: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (Data modeling, Pivot tables) and experience with CRM/SFA software.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to look beyond monthly numbers to understand long-term market penetration.
- Communication: Strong command over English and regional languages to effectively manage a diverse field team.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Sports Management, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
Working Conditions:
Full-time, on-site at Sunlight Sports Global Pvt. Ltd. (Shamshabad, Hyderabad)
Standard office hours (MonSat), with flexibility during major festivals and events.
