We are now hiring a Sales Manager who can help us build and scale our revenue engine from the ground up.
The Role
- This is not a traditional sales manager role where you only manage a team.
- This is a hands-on, founder-adjacent sales role.
- We need someone who understands the end-to-end SaaS sales process — from speaking with prospects, qualifying leads, running demos, handling objections, closing deals, ensuring smooth onboarding, tracking funnel numbers, and identifying where revenue is leaking.
- You will own the customer journey from first conversation to successful onboarding.
- Your job is simple: Turn qualified prospects into happy paying customers - and help us build a repeatable sales system while doing it.
What You Will Own
- You will speak directly with potential customers, understand their business, website, customer journey, support gaps, and sales problems.
- You will run discovery calls and product demos for business owners, founders, e-commerce teams, marketing teams, support teams, and operations teams.
- You will explain how StepsAI can help customers increase conversions, reduce support queries, capture leads, automate customer interactions, and improve customer experience.
- You will follow up with prospects, handle objections, negotiate pricing, and close deals.
- You will ensure new customers are onboarded properly after closing, including coordinating setup, tracking activation, and making sure they understand how to use the product.
- You will track the sales funnel and identify gaps across lead quality, meeting booking, show-up rates, demo performance, follow-ups, pricing objections, closing rates, onboarding completion, and customer activation.
- You will maintain strong CRM discipline and make sure the pipeline is always updated.
- You will collect feedback from prospects and customers and share insights with the founders and product team.
- You will help build sales scripts, demo flows, objection-handling notes, follow-up sequences, onboarding checklists, and reporting dashboards.
- You will help hire, train, and manage junior sales or lead generation team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound and outbound sales conversations.
- Qualify prospects and identify high-intent opportunities.
- Run discovery calls and product demos.
- Understand customer pain points and map them to StepsAI's value.
- Explain AI agents in a simple, business-focused way.
- Handle objections around pricing, implementation, trust, AI accuracy, support, and ROI.
- Negotiate and close monthly or annual subscription deals.
- Coordinate onboarding after the sale.
- Make sure customers are activated and see value quickly.
- Track funnel metrics and identify where deals are dropping off.
- Improve sales messaging, pitch, demo structure, and follow-up process.
- Maintain CRM hygiene and weekly pipeline reporting.
- Share customer feedback, product gaps, and market insights with the founders.
- Help build a repeatable sales process that can scale.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who has sold B2B SaaS, software, automation, marketing tech, CRM, e-commerce tools, agency services, or digital products before.
You should be comfortable speaking with customers, running demos, closing deals, and owning outcomes.
You should not wait for perfect instructions. You should be able to figure things out, ask the right questions, move fast, and take ownership.
You should understand that in an early-stage startup, sales is not just calling and closing. It is also learning from customers, improving the pitch, fixing gaps, and helping build the system.
Requirements
- 3 to 6 years of experience in B2B sales, SaaS sales, software sales, agency sales, or business development.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Experience speaking directly with customers on calls.
- Experience running demos, follow-ups, negotiations, and closing deals.
- Understanding of sales funnels, CRM, pipeline management, and revenue metrics.
- Ability to track numbers and identify where the funnel is breaking.
- Comfortable with customer onboarding and post-sale coordination.
- Strong follow-up discipline.
- Ability to work in a fast-moving startup environment.
- High ownership mindset.
- Ability to understand customer problems and explain product value clearly.

- Experience with tools like HubSpot, Zoho, Pipedrive, Salesforce, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar sales tools.
- Experience selling AI tools, chatbots, automation tools, website tools, CRM solutions, or marketing technology.
- Experience managing junior sales, SDR, BDR, or lead generation team members.
