Role Description The Sales Manager – PEB & Prefab will lead business development and sales activities for pre-engineered buildings and prefabricated solutions, focusing on identifying and converting opportunities in target sectors and regions. This full-time, on-site role in Chennai involves prospecting and qualifying leads, meeting with clients, preparing proposals, and driving the end-to-end sales cycle from initial contact to contract closure. The role includes collaborating with engineering, projects, and operations teams to develop accurate technical and commercial offers, ensuring alignment between client needs and Modulus Housing's solutions. The Sales Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining long-term customer relationships, tracking market trends, and reporting on sales performance, pipeline, and forecasts to leadership. The position also requires participation in industry events, presentations, and client visits to strengthen Modulus Housing's market presence in PEB and prefab segments.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in sales or business development within construction, PEB, prefab, infrastructure, or related industries, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Ability to understand technical aspects of pre-engineered and prefabricated structures and translate them into clear value propositions for clients.
  • Strong skills in client relationship management, negotiation, and closing deals, with a consultative and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Competence in market research, pipeline management, and use of CRM or sales tracking tools to plan, monitor, and report on sales activities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; proficiency in regional languages is an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or a related field; an advanced degree or MBA is a plus.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and handle multiple opportunities simultaneously.
