About Classic Welding Products

Classic Welding Products Pvt. Ltd. is an established flexible packaging manufacturer based in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. The company manufactures flexible packaging films and converted packaging products for customers across multiple industries.

CWP is currently in an expansion phase and is looking to significantly grow its value-added packaging business, particularly in laminates, printed films, stand-up pouches and other specialty flexible packaging products.

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who can take ownership of this growth initiative.

The Opportunity

This is not a conventional sales/account-management role.

We are specifically looking for someone who understands the flexible packaging industry and has the ability to identify, develop and convert new customers for higher-value packaging products.

The person will be given significant ownership to build the business and will work directly with the management team.

The immediate objective is to grow CWP's lamination/value-added business from approximately 20 tonnes per month towards 50 tonnes per month, while simultaneously developing new customers and markets.

Key Responsibilities1. New Business Development

• Identify and acquire new customers for flexible packaging products.
• Develop business with FMCG, food, dairy, snacks, spices, confectionery, dry fruits, pharmaceutical and other relevant industries.
• Identify customers currently purchasing packaging from competing manufacturers and develop opportunities to supply them.
• Build a strong pipeline of prospective customers and convert them into regular business.
• Develop relationships with procurement, purchase, packaging development and senior management teams.

2. Value-Added Products

Take primary responsibility for developing business in:

• Printed laminated films
• Flexible packaging laminates
• Stand-up pouches
• Vacuum packaging
• High-barrier packaging
• Specialty packaging structures
• Other value-added flexible packaging products

3. Customer Development

• Understand the customer's current packaging structure, specifications and application.
• Work with CWP's production and technical teams to develop suitable structures.
• Coordinate sampling, trials and product approvals.
• Negotiate commercial terms and convert successful trials into recurring orders.
• Develop existing customers into higher-value product categories.

4. Export Business Development

The role will also support CWP's developing export business, particularly in:

• Africa
• Middle East
• Other emerging export markets

The candidate will identify suitable customers, distributors/importers and packaging buyers and develop export opportunities in coordination with management.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are particularly interested in candidates currently working with or having worked with established flexible packaging / film / laminate companies.

Candidates from companies involved in:

• Flexible packaging
• Printed films
• Laminates
• BOPP/BOPET films
• PE films
• Packaging pouches
• Adhesives for flexible packaging
• Packaging machinery
• Specialty films

will be preferred.

Ideal experience

4–8 years of B2B sales/business development experience, preferably within the packaging industry.

The candidate should have experience selling to:

• Pharmaceutical companies
• Chemical companies
• Packaging converters
• Exporters

Compensation

Competitive fixed salary + performance-linked incentives.

The compensation structure will be discussed based on the candidate's experience, existing customer relationships and demonstrated ability to generate new business.
