Job Summary

The Sales Manager for LAP (Loan Against Property) will be responsible for leading and managing the sales team in Chennai to achieve ambitious sales targets and drive business growth within the Loan Against Property segment. This role requires a strong understanding of financial products, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in sales.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed LAP sales targets in the Chennai market.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales executives, ensuring their continuous development and performance improvement.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base through various channels, including direct sales, DSA partnerships, and builder tie-ups.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, intermediaries, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies, regulatory guidelines, and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis to senior management.
  • Collaborate with credit, operations, and marketing teams to ensure seamless customer experience and product delivery.
  • Manage the sales pipeline effectively, from lead generation to loan disbursal.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role specifically within the Loan Against Property (LAP) or mortgage finance sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of LAP products, financial services, and the Chennai real estate market.
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and coaching skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed business decisions.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with local regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
