Position Summary
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth,managing customer relationships, and supporting the adoption of products andservices within assigned territories or customer accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including researchers, laboratory directors, clinicians, procurement teams, and decision-makers.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand existing customer accounts.
- Present and promote products, technologies, services, and workflows to prospective and existing customers.
- Coordinate product demonstrations, technical presentations, and customer training sessions.
- Collaborate with technical support, field application scientists, marketing, and product management teams to ensure customer success.
- Manage the sales pipeline, forecasts, and account activities using CRM systems.
- Attend scientific conferences, trade shows, and industry events to represent the organization and generate leads.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to support business strategy.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Genomics, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- 5-7+ years of experience in life sciences, genomics, biotechnology, molecular diagnostics, or scientific sales.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals.
- Strong understanding of genomics and molecular biology concepts.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
- Strong negotiation and account management capabilities.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and sales reporting tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
