Responsibilities:
- Recruit, build, and manage a field sales team across key beedi-producing regions in India
- Establish KPIs and performance standards monitor visits, sample distribution, and conversion targets
- Oversee daily team operations, including coaching, performance reviews, and motivation
- Lead market outreach to beedi manufacturers, including formal factories and small-scale producers
- Build and maintain relationships with key industry intermediaries to expand market access
- Manage key client accounts identify needs and coordinate internal resources to deliver solutions
- Conduct on-the-ground market research on competitors, pricing, customer behavior, and regulatory developments
- Provide market insights and support strategic adjustments to pricing and go-to-market approach
- Act as liaison between headquarters and the India team to ensure alignment and execution
- Facilitate cross-border communication and resolve operational or cultural challenges
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant field
- Minimum 8 years of B2B sales or business development experience, including at least 3 years in team management
- Strong understanding of Indian business culture, particularly in traditional industries (e.g., FMCG, tobacco, agro-processing)
- Experience building a sales team from scratch or managing a regional team of at least 4 members
- Proven track record working with SMEs, family-owned businesses, or traditional industry clients
- Ability to travel frequently between Singapore and India for business purposes

- Experience in tobacco, flavors & fragrances, or FMCG raw materials industry is an added advantage
- Experience setting up and scaling a field sales team in India is an added advantage
- Existing network within the Indian beedi industry or related FMCG sectors is an added advantage
