Job Description Sales Manager for Imported Food Products
Purpose of the Role
To develop and manage sales of imported food products (sugar, rice, oil, etc.) in West
Africa, with a strong focus on expanding into Niger and Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities
-Business Development
-Identify and prospect new clients (wholesalers, distributors, retailers).
-Negotiate and close sales contracts.
-Ensure proper follow-up of orders and deliveries.
Market Management
-Analyze market trends in Benin, Niger, and Nigeria.
-Define strategies for market penetration and growth.
-Maintain active competitive intelligence.
Client Relationship
-Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial partners.
-Provide excellent after-sales service.
Reporting & Strategy
-Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts.
-Recommend corrective actions to achieve targets.
Candidate Profile
-Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Management, or
related field.
-Experience: Minimum 5 years in sales of food products or FMCG (Fast-Moving
Consumer Goods).
Skills:
-Strong knowledge of the Beninese, Nigerien, and Nigerian markets.
-Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
-Ability to work independently and achieve ambitious goals.
-Fluency in French and English (Hausa is an asset).
Location
Position based in Benin, with frequent travel to Niger and Nigeria.
