Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop an effective sales strategy within the specified market scope in India Region and maintain it, to improve ABB's market reach and realize growth aspirations. Each day, you will define, plan, lead, and ensure the execution of sales strategy to deliver both qualitative and quantitative sales targets for products, systems, and/or services to ensure sustainable order growth, revenue, profitability, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your sales leadership skills by managing, developing, and coaching the Sales organization (other sales managers and sales specialists within scope) to meet the sales targets, through consistent performance.

The work model for the role is: #LI - Onsite

This role contributes to the Process Industries in Automation sector in the India region, working closely with key stakeholders such as customers, internal business units, technology teams, sales and account management teams, and strategic partners

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Anticipating and identifying the shortfalls in performance and takes appropriate remedial actions promptly.

  • Identifying and evaluating new opportunities with existing and potential customers, determines plans for implementation, and allocates required resources.

  • Planning and executing customer surveys and acts on the survey results to ensure high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Participating in the negotiation of key contracts.

Qualifications for the role

  • You are engaged in digitalization, Industrial Software, and relevant tools and methodologies within the process, energy, software, technology, and automation sectors including industries such as Metals, Mining, Paper, Cement, and Rectifier

  • You have 10+ years of experience in the OT or software industry, working as a professional managing digital development initiative for complex global organizations in a B2B environment

  • You possess an enhanced knowledge of operational excellence, process performance (including simulation), asset performance management, sustainability solutions, connected workforce, and cyber security solution areas

  • You are focused on innovation, digital transformation, and creating business value through advanced technological solutions

  • You have a degree in MBA or B.E. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field

  • You are comfortable communicating in English (and other relevant business communication languages as required)
