Job Description

Responsibilities

Sales Strategy and Business Development:

  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve company revenue targets and expands the customer base.
  • Identify potential customers, industries, and market segments for targeting sales efforts.
  • Build and maintain a sales pipeline, consistently prospecting and generating new business opportunities.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay informed about industry trends, customer needs, and pricing strategies.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored freight and forwarding solutions.
  • Conduct sales presentations, negotiate contracts and pricing, and address customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Regularly communicate with clients to provide updates on shipments, address issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery and meet client expectations.

Marketing and Promotional Activities:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales collateral, presentations, and promotional materials.
  • Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to generate leads and increase brand visibility.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, market developments, and competitive offerings, providing insights and recommendations for marketing and sales strategies.

Qualifications

  • Master's / bachelor's degree in business, marketing, logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven 5+ years of experience in sales within the freight and forwarding industry,
  • Must have good analytical skills.
  • Solid understanding of freight forwarding operations, logistics, and supply chain management.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and team members.
  • Self-motivated, result-oriented, and able to work independently and under pressure.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and sales tools / Salesforce.
  • Prior experience with CargoWise will be an added advantage.
