Role Description
We're looking for an experienced Sales Manager to lead and manage a team of Territory Sales Executives in the field. This is a hands-on leadership role you'll be responsible for driving sales targets, coaching your team, ensuring compliance with SOPs, and building strong relationships with retail outlets and distributors.
This is NOT a desk job. You'll spend significant time in the field supporting your team, visiting outlets, and ensuring execution excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and manage a team of 8-15 Territory Sales Executives
- Conduct daily performance monitoring and real-time follow-ups
- Ensure 100% compliance with daily form submissions and reporting
- Identify bottom performers weekly and implement improvement plans
- Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions and field accompaniment
- Hire, onboard, and train new sales executives
Sales Execution
- Drive monthly sales targets (cases sold) for your assigned territory
- Ensure each SE achieves minimum 15-30 outlet visits daily
- Monitor conversion rates (visits sales) and take corrective action
- Execute cashback/scheme programs within budget guidelines
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retail outlet owners
- Ensure Boroka products are properly displayed and stocked in fridges
Reporting & Analysis
- Submit weekly reports to State Head by Friday 6:00 PM (non-negotiable)
- Analyze dashboard data daily and identify performance gaps
- Track KPIs: visits, promises, conversions, cashback ROI
- Maintain documentation for all performance issues and coaching sessions
- Circulate individual performance reports to SEs by Monday
Qualifications
Must Have:
- 3-5 years of field sales experience in FMCG, Alcobev, or Beverages
- 1-2 years in a team lead/supervisory role managing field sales teams
- Fluent in local language (Kannada for Karnataka, Hindi for Rajasthan)
- Graduate degree (any discipline)
- Own two-wheeler and smartphone
- Strong understanding of retail/trade sales and distributor management
- Comfortable with daily field work and travel within assigned territory
Good to Have:
- Prior experience in alcobev industry
- Familiarity with excise documentation and compliance
- Experience with sales dashboards and CRM tools
- Track record of building high-performing teams

Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: 50,000 - 65,000/month (based on experience)
- Travel Allowance: 5,000 - 10,000/month
- Performance Incentives: linked to team sales targets
- Total Earning Potential: 50,000 - 80,000+/month

In 30 Days:
- Fully onboarded and familiar with all SOPs and reporting systems
- Know every SE in your team and their territories
- Completed field visits to all major outlets in your area
In 90 Days:
- Team consistently hitting 80%+ of daily targets
- Conversion rates improving week-over-week
- Zero compliance issues or missed reports
- At least 2 underperformers coached to improvement (or exited)
In 6 Months:
Team achieving 100%+ of monthly sales targets
