Role Purpose
Sales Manager is responsible for developing & driving revenue growth through dealer networks by developing channel strategies, strengthening relationships, and ensuring effective market penetration.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute channel sales strategy aligned with organizational revenue and market expansion goals.
- Appoint, manage, and expand dealer networks across assigned territories.
- Drive secondary sales, monitor channel inventory, and ensure healthy stock rotation.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets through channel partners.
- Build strong relationships with key channel partners, influencers, and trade bodies.
- Conduct channel training programs on products, pricing, schemes, and selling techniques.
- Plan and execute trade marketing activities, promotions, and incentive schemes.
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and market dynamics; provide actionable insights.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, credit control, and channel governance norms.
- Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure smooth channel operations.
- Prepare sales forecasts, MIS reports, and performance dashboards for management review.
Skills & Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 1012 years of experience in Channel / Trade Sales.
- Working knowledge of trade schemes, margins, and pricing structures.
- Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
- Results-oriented with high ownership and accountability.
