Job Title: Sales Manager – Freight Forwarding (Korean Desk)

Location: Chennai

Experience Required: 4+ yrs

Nationality: India / Korean ( fluency in Korean and English mandatory)

Summary

The Sales Manager – Freight Forwarding will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying and securing opportunities with Korean clients globally, supporting their import and export requirements across international trade lanes. The role focuses on air and ocean freight, custom clearance, domestic transportation and warehousing including new client onboarding, relationship management, business reviews, and receivables management.

Reporting to the Country Head – India, the candidate will be accountable for achieving sales targets and expanding business with Korean customers, by offering tailored freight forwarding solutions. The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of experience in logistics, with strong knowledge of global freight operations and the ability to support Korean clients across multiple geographies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities with Korean companies requiring

• freight forwarding, logistics, and supply chain solutions.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Korean clients, including manufacturers,

• exporters, importers, and multinational corporations.

• Act as the primary point of contact for Korean-speaking customers, ensuring smooth

• communication and high service standards.

• Promote the company's services including air freight, ocean freight, customs clearance,

• warehousing, and door-to-door logistics solutions.

• Prepare and present competitive quotations, proposals, and service solutions tailored to client needs.

• Achieving and improving sales targets, and building relations with the customers.

• Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities within the Korean business community in India.

• Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless execution of

• shipments and client satisfaction.

• Attend industry events, networking functions, and Korean business forums to generate leads.

• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and customer interactions in CRM

• systems.

Job Requirements:

• India/ Korean nationality with fluency in Korean and English (mandatory).

• 3+ years of experience in freight business specializing in inbound/outbound export of

• different commodities.

• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business.

• Demonstrated Commercial acumen in Solution Design, Product Portfolio, and Strategic Mindset

• Good knowledge of Tender and RFQ Management and self-starter to adopt new IT

• Systems and Processes.

• Ability to identify customer pain points using Qualitative and quantitative data.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and adapt to a multicultural environment.

• Willingness to travel within India for client meetings.
