Job Description

The role is responsible for driving air import sales by leading business development initiatives, managing key client relationships, and achieving revenue targets. The Sales Manager will focus on expanding market share, building a strong sales pipeline, and ensuring seamless coordination with internal teams to deliver profitable growth in the air import segment.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in air import freight forwarding to drive revenue growth
  • Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with importers and key corporate clients
  • Handle client inquiries, prepare competitive quotations, and effectively negotiate to close sales deals
  • Coordinate closely with operations, pricing teams, and overseas agents to ensure seamless shipment execution
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to overall business expansion and profitability
  • Provide proactive updates to clients on shipment status and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and industry developments to identify opportunities and risks
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, pipeline, and client interactions in CRM systems

Educational Qualification

  • Graduate in any discipline (B.Com / BBA preferred)
  • MBA / PGDM in Sales, Marketing, or Logistics preferred

Experience

  • 48+ years in freight forwarding / logistics sales (Air Imports preferred)
  • Strong exposure to air import operations and customer handling

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong sales and negotiation skills
  • Good understanding of air import processes & documentation
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Target-driven with strong commercial acumen
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functionally
